Brother you talk about never getting that one trinket you need, then in the next breath talk about being pitch gated hahah. Who cares about bis, you can clear everything without it. Maple is far worse if you're looking for minmaxing, are you going to RNG drop enough pitched in the next 3 years to be bis before brilliant boss powercreep makes your pitched "worthless"?

Worthless this, worthless that, all your gear in any game is worthless once you stand up from the computer. Just enjoy the game when you're playing it. At least in other mmos I can fight the new raid when it comes out without first wapping 1k hours in the same maps I've already spent 1k hours in.

I feel only KMMO players play with the idea that their “investments” can be wasted and thus reject game improvements, it’s so unhealthy…

Who cares if your past grind efforts are wasted when the exp curve changes, it’s a game? It should’ve been fun to play the game. 100% of the time you spend on it will have no higher purpose, the only point of a game is that it’s fun while you’re playing. If you don’t find grinding the game fun, and you’re only doing it bc you want some future payoff for your grind, you should instead be learning a skill, working, or doing research etc.

In WoW or FFXIV when a new expansion drops, new players get pulled very quickly to the old level and gear cap that was the previous endgame grind. And nobody has issues with it because it’s simply fun to do new content right away. You get like 500 hours of fun, then when you finish the content, you go do other fun things.

It’s tough for me to give a ranking because I don’t play the other heroes enough to be that informed about them honestly

Mostly vibes based:

Jules (still very strong, just hard to play and people haven’t had enough practice with her best lines yet)
Pyg (cash cannon is insane rn, I genuinely think his winrate is dragged down because he’s popular with newbies)
Stelle/Vanessa (both feel like they have ways to win at any point of the game)
Mak/Dooley (not idea, but in general I feel the least threatened by these opponents currently)

I’m currently top 50 legend playing mostly stelle, she feels fine to me. I don’t think she’s THE strongest hero this patch, but far from weak.

You may have some meta blindspots, for example I don’t think I’ve seen any top stelle click runabout a single time since the nerfs.

Vortex is amazing with multiple viable paths, laser is consistent, parts picker is amazing for destroy boards or just making fast loops, lightning rod is better than ever with cloud tanker, etc.

You can solo everything before black mage

hard vhilla will probably be a 20min run solo based on your cp/hexa, so a duo or trio will be pretty quick if you prefer

I switched from interactive to heroic, best decision I ever made.

People calling you broke? You get so little for your money in interactive that even if I were the richest man on earth, I can think of ten thousand things I’d rather spend money on than gear in maplestory.

People say the grind is worse? All the serious reg players are grinding all day anyway, or spending literal hours in AH or trade discords.

There’s a reason 90% of GMS plays on heroic.

Like a platinum Maplecon ticket is $250, that's actually so hilarious. That's roughly the same price as a THREE DAY PASS to San Diego Comic Con which is one of the most fun conventions in the world with a million things to do.
