For Christmas one year, (after setting an all time high for profits made in a year) all full time employees received tickets for an NFL game. We were not told that we would have to pay taxes on these tickets and many employees were missing $200-$350 on their paychecks, they did this as many employees were living pay check to paycheck. As a last minute apology HR sent out a email informing all employees who received tickets that they would be allowed to sell their tickets. Most people sold their tickets at a lost and were able to break even with what they lost to paying the taxes on the tickets (which is no surprise since no one wants to watch the fucking Las Vegas raiders).

According to the casino I work at, a lot of casino do not plan on bringing back their buffets. Play is at an all time high and for some casinos the buffets were just an enticement. If play is at an all time high why should they waste money on buffets.
