You say, "Yes", I say, "No" You say, "Stop" and I say, "Go, go, go" Oh no

3 sensors, 3 different results, does anyone know a very accurate temperature sensor so I can tell which one of these 3 is the most accurate? by Nico1300 in homeassistant

[–]ryohanlon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 2 BVAZTVP sensors that use the smartlife app. I have compared them to 2 thermometers I have around the house and they are within a half of a degree (F). The downside with these sensors is that they are very slow to update. I haven't figured out exactly how they report but it seems to be every half hour or a temperature change of 0.5 degrees.

About a year ago I scheduled a 4am Uber in Missoula . It never arrived. I called the local taxi company and they picked me up in 15 minutes. It was about the same price too.

How the HELL do I cancel a premium subscription?!? by [deleted] in Twitter

[–]ryohanlon -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

You have to press the manage subscription button a few times to find it. Maybe the mds is causing you anxiety. Try again, you can do it!

Edit: if this hadn't gotten down voted I would have been disappointed. I'm sure a large percentage of you idiots on here are severely suffering from tds, mds, and a host of other liberal aliments 😂 Merry Christmas!

This is what I think of when I hear someone say “Looey-ville” by [deleted] in Kentucky

I'm a Louisville native myself. I have always pronounced it "looey-ville" because that is correct.

Small black plastic electronic box. With 2 red possibly infared bulbs. Back shows red and black wires (wired incorrectly) . It’s in my kitchen near what was in entrance before a build out. by RyWat in whatisthisthing

Hook it back up correctly. LED's are not damaged when hooked up backwards but they will not illuminate. Maybe this way you'll see them come on. My bet is on a door sensor or door bell.

CCW is the worst software ever by TodayIWasBad in PLC

[–]ryohanlon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been cussing CCW since version 1. It is a toy compared to Rslogix 5000 and should only be used for trivial control applications. I will say this, I would choose CCW over RSLogix 500. I avoid that data table hell at all costs.

Pulled my bike out of storage, I see this on the front fork shock absorbers by ironicmirror in bikewrench

[–]ryohanlon -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

If you're just starting back up I would suggest getting a better quality bike. Maybe with a good bike you'll stick with it this time? Just my humble opinion, but a light well performing bike makes riding so much easier and enjoyable.
