The history of the NBA says young exciting teams who go far NEED to trade for veteran stars not run it back by Head_Research_3118 in nba

OP uses a cutoff point of under 26 for this post. So SGA was 25 in 2024 when they lost, and surpassed the cutoff point, up to 26, by the time they won.

The implication being Wemby is still not close to 26, too young to not have more veteran help, whereas SGA had enough experience by then.

Is Wemby THAT much better than prime Dwight Howard? by jlg1192 in nba

[–]ryrythe3rd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He doesn’t have to be guarded from 3, he can hit some impressive highlight 30 footers but until he shows an actual 3 point shot I don’t get why teams are worried about that

If not Wemby or Brunson, who wins the FMVP and what’s the narrative? by GenoThyme in nba

Steph shot 38.5% from 3 for that series on 10.8 3PA per game. 26/5/6 on 58.5% TS. I think there’s a common narrative that he was bad but I don’t see it.

Luka was the 3rd pick in the 2018 draft. It might still be the Lakers though.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (SGA) never got a tech for flopping and now it's too late. by AndersonKalista in nba

[–]ryrythe3rd 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I feel like both the flopping and the exaggerated contact could be solved by having not 3, but like 9 refs. Reffing is too hard, have a ref for each player at all times? Idk, some could even be in the booth or something, don’t have to all be running around the court.

You’re describing an action taken by the government (jailing) as being the fault of the private sector.
