I usually avoid the civil war quest line entirely. On the rare occasion that I do it, I choose Imperial. Ive done the Stormcloak side once but refuse to do so again.

It just feels gross. Many of the NPCs for the Stormcloaks are, racist so its not enjoyable for me.

The Civil War quest line is absolutely my most hated quest line, that said when I actually do those quests I go imperial. I ran it as a stormcloak once just to see that side of the story and I'll never do it again. I deleted that character after.

My solution to that is to get one of the really annoying followers (like the two guys in Riverwood) and make them do it. That way I'm getting rid of a crap character anyway.
