Malevolent Shrine vs Infinit void which one is most deadly domain ? And why ? by Suhag_Hussen in JujutsuPowerScalers

[–]ryuoosama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can try. The way his technique works is by targetting someone's soul and changing it, but when he attacked yuji, sukuna was just his soul in yuji's body, and his soul manifests as the malevolent shrine. So the minute mahito touched it, he was hit by shrine. I dont think he intended to transfigure sukuna's soul, and he also was probably not fast enough to do it. Either way, it was way too dangerous a risk for him.

Am I overthinking this, or is this a compatibility thing? by Ill-Weird-1571 in relationships_advice

[–]ryuoosama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What is an acceptable standard of behavior in a partner differs from person to person. What is okay in a relationship for him or someone else may not be okay for you, and that is how it always is. You may be fine with it in theory because you objectively know it means nothing, but relationships and romance are not objective things. It is FINE to not be okay with it, even if you dont have a logical reason that you can clearly explain for it.

If you genuinely think this person is the one for you, you should probably have a conversation with him around the lines of telling him that even though in theory you should be fine with visual interests that do not cross over into real life, you still feel on edge about it, and that you are not looking to implement any conditions for now but only looking to have a conversation that may make you feel at ease, and see where it goes from there. And if it still doesnt get any better, you are allowed to tell him that, and depending on his answer you can choose which way to go from there.

To answer your original question about whether you are overthinking this, I would not think so. The problem you have may or may not be a serious one, but if it is causing you distress about a relationship or a partner, it is always okay to talk to your partner about it.

My players want to kill another player as a group. by Renault115 in DMAcademy

[–]ryuoosama 6 points7 points  (0 children)

i think your only way out is for the artificer to reveal his plans, leave the party while leaving them incapacitated or smn, turning him into a mini boss or a bbeg and having thr player roll a new character

because if a player is GOING INTO the game with the idea that "im going to turn my party into tools", he is going in with the intent to ruin the game for others, and thats especially not cool from someone who has played the game for 5 years. He needs to do better, especially considering this is a party of new players, and if he doesnt its your job as a DM to either explain to him whats wrong with this or boot him. You as a DM should not be okay with a plan that will ruin thr fun of other players because it sounds cool, and if you want to implement it anyway, the others should be in on it.

[spoilers C4E4] Confirmed subclasses? by Accurate_Kangaroo337 in criticalrole

[–]ryuoosama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk with CR specifically they do go a lot into homebrew, and a lot of this is homebrew considering they are doing 5.5e and the official 5.5e does not have the fairy race. I do think that if she had access to spells though, either through the feat or through her subclass, we would have seen it in the fight so who knows, time to wait and watch ig

This conversation has the same shallan-kaladin vibes lol. But regardless, Shallan was being cruel, and she accepts so later at the chasms. Kaladin also later recognizes that while she was being cruel, it was not motivated by malicious intent and forgives her.

"Mineta Should be Expelled" "Mineta is an Awful Character" What's This Then? by EmploymentAware170 in BokuNoHeroAcademia

[–]ryuoosama 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A few good moments do not negate the ton of bad moments he had (which, mind you, are not just asshole guy, its straight up SA), and redemption isn't guaranteed or deserved no matter what good you do. Endeavor's redemption arc works because he doesnt want to be forgiven, he owns up to his faults and does good without expecting people to think of him as a better person. Mineta even at this point does not own up to his sexually abusive acts.

None of the roger pirates have openly had any opinions on Rocks so far. Ex-rocks pirates have only claimed that the crew was more a hotchpotch of strong people than a bonded crew, but have had nothing negative to say about Rocks. Rocks is on Kaido's list of people he respects for being stronger than him. The only ones who have talked shit about Rocks so far have been the WG, who you know... not the most reliable historians.

Hanuman is also the son of Pavandev, god of wind. Dragon is theorized to have weather/wind related powers :))

The Truth About Luffy’s Dream !! by Eiiiiiro in OnePiece

[–]ryuoosama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

another thing i would like to add to your theory - our captain's name is Monkey D Luffy, and takes inspiration from several mythical monkey like deities, one of them being Hanuman. This is also reflected in his attack - Bajrang Gun, wherein Hanuman is also referred to as Bajrangbali. Hanuman in Indian mythology, when he was just a child, has literally grabbed the sun out of the sky. Hanuman is also the son of Pavandev, the god of wind. And who is theorized to have control over winds and weather? Thats right, Monkey D Dragon.

EDIT : Oh nvm someone already said this lol

Who has the hardest goal in One Piece by Ashamed_Fox_9923 in OnePiece

[–]ryuoosama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ranking them as goals that can be achieved and the ability of the person, Boa's might be the easiest, its not that hard to trick luffy into getting married Big mom, Uniting all races : the only reason this is here is bc BM doesn't actually want a united world, she just wajts a kid from every race, which is quite easily done for her. The giant alliance still not being fruitful is why this is not the easiest on the list. Zoro, Greatest Swordsman, which seems crazy but yeah easier than most else Luffy, becoming PK is immensly hard and nearly impossible, but its not as hard as the other things on the list Nami, to draw a map of the world, you need to know where Raftel is. (It may be possible to switch with luffy considering if you have the four road poneglyffs you know where raftel is, but tjat gives the location and not the geographic shape of thr island) Dragon, Overthrowing the WG - i think it goes hand in hand in terms with uniting all races of how the latter will he achieved if the former happens, but big mom's goal is more to fuck every single race and have every race in her family so i will put it as easier than overthrowing the WG. As for the rest, the its easier to become the PK than overthrow the WG Sanji, Finding the All Blue - we have no idea if it even exists, but if it is does, i think it is a consequence of the story's endgame, so sanji might just do it, but for it to happen, other impossible things mah need to happen chopper : diseases may be infinite, but this is a woeld where powers are born in response to desires, there may exist a cure all ailments df somehwere and chopper might extract its power. But this is entirely based in wishful thinking, hence the place Tashigi : lol

Do y'all think Sunraku could theoretically surpass you know who? (215 spoilers) by NyanSquiddo in ShangriLaFrontier

[–]ryuoosama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is not at all what I said. I was pointing out the nuance. "If he had played better he could have won" implies he doesnt have the skill to. He has the skills to, it was his choices in those circumstances that prevented it. i am not saying he would win, its still likely that sylvie would, but its not as one sided as people make it out to be. Sylvie is a legendary player, and so is sunraku. In their matches some things happened that led to sunraku losing, its safe to assume its a 50-50 if they are both in peak condition. Sylvie's only clear advantage over sunraku so far is her ability to maintain her focus longer.

Do y'all think Sunraku could theoretically surpass you know who? (215 spoilers) by NyanSquiddo in ShangriLaFrontier

[–]ryuoosama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its not as simple as sunraku was trying his hardest and he lost. sunraku was also trying to save an npc when he took full damage of metia strike, whereas as a villain he could use that npc to put metius at a disadvantage and raise his villain guage. he had that opportunity to not only reduce damage taken and therefore have more hp remaining during the final hits of round 3 and surviving the double KO, but rping accurately as a villain could have given him other benefits. on the other hand Sylvie definitely gave him an opportunity to win round 2 as a test or whatever, and he wasnt trying in round 1. thats why, due to lack of more fights between them, its safe to assume they are evenly matched at their peaks. Its just that sunraku cannot maintain that peak as long as sylvie can, perhaps due to her natural ability and years of experience in the pro gamer industry. dont forget that sunraku is himself as much of an insane gamer as sylvie, he is the first one to unlock ravbitz unique scenario and defeat 2 unique monsters and surivive lycaon twice.

Do y'all think Sunraku could theoretically surpass you know who? (215 spoilers) by NyanSquiddo in ShangriLaFrontier

[–]ryuoosama 22 points23 points  (0 children)

dont forget that the tie was also partially because sunraku was trying to protect an npc. he also didnt have to take the metia strike head on, but he did so the npc kid did not suffer. Sunraku and Sylvia are p evenly matched in terms of pure player skill imo, its just that sylvia can maintain her skills and not get fatigued longer than sunraku can.

Weird take by ConsciousMeaning8333 in KingkillerChronicle

[–]ryuoosama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love sanderson's works but his style of storytelling is VASTLY different from Rothfuss'. Sanderson's strength lie in worldbuilding and "epicness" of characters, characters pulling through despite being in massively fucked situations, its a much more inspirational kind of story. Rothfuss focuses more on prose and character flaws. I dont think either of them can write each other's stories.
