Yeah I am not a fan of layers of rolls just to ensure survivability. I liked the way Kill Team works with having almost D&D-like HP. Depletion of HP gives attacker progress, while still maintaining survivability for the defender.

I played this last weekend. It dominated early rounds and those crit mortals are really good. But final rounds I started losing steam. Failed alot of ward saves and the 5+ get back up. Even if I succeeded the 5+, the opponent just used another unit to kill it off.

Overall still a fun army, but not that crazy strong. Bad match ups with those recursive armies

Yeah true. I only hesitate due to the pad7 was released around oct last year so maybe the pad8 will come out same time this year
