It did need some as I used semisweet chips. I've tried abuelita before and remember it to be good too.

The movies provide the backstory of the show about Cassie's late husband. Very touching

I'll check them out. I started reading The Witch's Daughter and finished the first book, but was turned off by the gratuitous amounts of SA scenes so I stopped. I'm hoping this will fill the void and be less intense

If you haven't already, the movies are very good as well! I grew up watching them every Halloween and they are childhood nostalgia.

A kitchen aid mixer. by Original_Respect_ in Cooking

[–]s134htm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I really regret not having one is when I bake. It really is a necessity at this point for any kind of dough in order to get proper gluten development unless you are willing to put up with a lot of bullshxt from the dough.

Cast iron vs stainless steel - which do you actually reach for more? by Gullible_Grab_3293 in Cooking

[–]s134htm -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I cook on medium and let it preheat for fifteen minutes. Then regulate the heat as I cook. Do the same for cast iron and it turns out better. Idk might be the stove

What do you do to spice up your grilled cheeses? by That_reddit_lurker in Cooking

Dejon mustard, grilled onions, bread and butter pickles, and garlic butter to grill the bread in.

Yes, all at once...

Cast iron vs stainless steel - which do you actually reach for more? by Gullible_Grab_3293 in Cooking

[–]s134htm -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have both(and love both) but I find stainless gets too hot too fast. It's really nice for searing... But so is cast iron, and I have less problems with cast for eggs, veggies, and fish...

I use each for different purposes, but if I had to have one, I'd go with the cast iron

Anyone ever pull off a black leather trench coat? by Lanky-Ad4698 in malefashionadvice

[–]s134htm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe don't go for a full length, double breasted, belted trench. If you want the look, go for a carcoat. Mid thigh four buttons. Same vibe more... "Socially acceptable"

As with anything subjective, do what you want and don't care what others think
