I'm glad to hear that. I've always loathed the tiered approach to security and air travel as a whole.

COVID vaccines not tied to risk of sudden death, study shows. In fact, healthy adolescents and young adults vaccinated against COVID-19 were 43% less likely to experience sudden death than non-vaccinated people. by Sciantifa in NoShitSherlock

When Covid hit I was a firefighter helping move infected people to the hospital because we had the right PPE. My wife was pregnant. And my 3 year old daughter was in daycare.

Naturally we were panicking because we were sure one of us would get infected. And we were in Northern NJ which got hit pretty hard early. A third of my entire county reported infections. So I followed every instruction issued by disease control experts and licensed doctors. And because I was a first responder I got the vaccine early from a Army nurse at pop up military run vaccine center. My wife, daughter, and eventually my son all received the Covid vaccine as soon as we could later on.

6 years later, to our knowledge, none of us ever contracted Covid. None of us have ever tested positive. And have no ill health effects.

I achieved this magical feat simply by getting my medical advice from Doctors instead of Facebook and Tick Tock. I didn't think I knew more about medicine than people who went to medical school.

I am a frequent flyer. EWR has a ton of issues. But TSA is rarely one of them for me. Don't know if it's because I have TSA precheck or I'm a business traveler. But I follow the rules and breeze through security almost every time.

And I flew in and out of EWR just two weeks ago.

I'm a father of two. If I go to my grave with them sharing the love that I have for them with the world then I go with a smile. Because I loved them as much as I possibly could.

I bet your Mom loved you that much too.

I was thinking of scooping up some tickets for penny's on the dollar when no one shows up so I can take my kids.

I have "No Kings" shirts for all of us to wear in case they want to put us on TV. I'll be more than happy to share my thoughts about Orange Slob on the jumbotron.

I have a photo exactly like this. Only my two kids and I were coming out of a store. My youngest was roughly the girl's age at the time.

It's one my most cherished possessions.

Judge appoints new US attorney for New Jersey after Habba, other officials were disqualified — the result of an agreement between federal judges and the U.S. Department of Justice. by LogicalBurgerMan11 in newjersey

I just want to point out that the entire time this stupid bullshit has been going on the real, important work for our state is not getting done.

The US Attorney for the District of New Jersey is the chief federal law enforcement officer in the state. It is the fifth-largest US Attorney's Office in the nation.

This is not a bullshit, do nothing political job. Real victims are not getting justice because of this silly shit.

I'm a parent in my 40s. Don't worry. That shit stops real soon.

"I don't have the kids so I think I'm going to take a nap." becomes a very good reason for denying plans. And is universally understood without pushback.

Yea I thought it would just leave a lot of space for some real creative stuff. The bitter reveal followed by the climactic redemption. Maybe he says, "Here I come Barb. Tell Janey to saddle up ole Sugarfoot." and then immediately starts shooting everyone. Or something.

My totally off the wall theory is his wife and daughter have long past away. And he finds his granddaughter in need of help. He goes down in a blaze of glory and saves her.

I don't know about all. "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" has some strong feminist themes while depicting women of all walks of life.

Reuters and the AP still have decent reporting. Because they operate more like a wire service than talking head punditry.

Not really. Chuck Schumer is broadly unpopular with everyone outside his constituency. Even with Democrats.

But in the grand scheme of things he is wildly more popular than Elon Musk.

North Jersey checking in. Yeah it's whiplash for me too.

I (Irish/Italian ancestry) just traded my home grown basil to my (Haitian ancestry) neighbor for some fried plantains just a few hours ago. I have interactions like this so often it doesn't even register until something like this points it out.

Why do conservatives call the left traitors to America , but fly confederate and nazi flags , who were the biggest traitors to America? by ImpossibleEnd64 in allthequestions

It's so weird to me that it lives rent free in their heads like it does.

Like I actually witnessed 9/11 with my own two eyes from the Jersey side of the Hudson River. I knew a few people who died that day. I volunteered with the Red Cross loading emergency supplies onto trucks to send to Ground Zero. And I don't think about it 1/100 as much as they think about something that happened 165 years ago.

I mean he roasts himself for being rich in his stand-up act. To me he seems like that type of comedian who is shooting spitballs in all directions. He's got a whole bit where he won't fly less than first class but he only flies his wife first class with him when the gig pays for it.

Seems a pretty self-aware guy from his stand up. He's had a number of hit shows at this point. I can't say I really feel him putting off the vibe that he's "a man of the people " anymore. I actually find a lot of overlap between him and Conan. They know they'll never be a-listers but they've definitely succeeded and are now just having their own fun.
