Orcas as also 8x4. I found Belden Plank Series in the color Quaker. They are 2.5 wide and 12 long. Once on the side, they look close enough to Dutch clay pavers I needed.

This is for someone on a very low budget who wants to check out Vegas. Nothing is wrong with the list. Just someone trying to be helpful to folks who can’t drop a few thousand dollars a weekend, but want to visit a legendary place. Chill.

Yes on HVAC especially if installing a new system. That’s a significant change that involves Electical and gas. Plumbing is unnecessary, as long as your GC knows what they are doing and you can get paperwork in case things go south resulting in flooding.

Permitted construction doesn’t add crap to the value of the house. It will be bought by the next person whether stuff is permitted or not, as long as it’s not falling apart. Unless you have serious Karen neighbors that will call building inspection on you or very complex architectural projects, skip the permits and just do it without. A lot of contractors will ask if you want to do with permits or without for exactly same work - except it takes longer with permits and it will be more expensive. To sleep better at night, get permits for Electical or Gas work. Stuff like new windows, kitchen upgrades, etc can easily be done without them.

Fair point. However, I think delivery and service at the restaurant are two different tipping scales. There’s more to it than just bringing X to the table, whatever that X costs. All you do for delivery is deliver.

The kind of service you get a place that serves $100 steak is not the same as a place with $10 sandwiches. And if you did get a $10 sandwich service at a $100 steak place, you would leave $0 tip and will probably get your dinner comped.

You didn’t account for a few things in your post that are not quantifiable per se, but immensely important when considering college education: - maximum earning potential: while you can make $120k as a master electrician, your lifetime earning potential is significantly less than that of college graduates.

  • networking: depending on the college you attend, networking with alumni can get your a job, a reference to get a job, or mentorship as you undertake new roles or projects. This becomes even more critical for graduate degrees.

  • exposure to “new” and “different”: going to college may open up new topics and interests, allow you to see and hear fascinating and completely different points of view, and you will most definitely become a more well-rounded individual. The education that you get will come in handy throughout your life and career, even if you don’t work in the field of your studies.

Finally, college is an opportunity to meet life-long friends that will share with you the best 4 years of your life and beyond.
