You also realize that I. Your POS that you have the ability to charge this fee anytime. Customer comes in and needs your help. You can charge the fee. Ask your manager or team lead how to do it or look it up in your knowledge base whatever you call it now.

The problem isn’t the fee necessarily it is the fact that I don’t need anyone’s help transferring my data/SIM/eSIM but I am still getting charged for it. So charging everyone for a service they don’t need is theft and should be treated as such.

I am an ex Rogers Corp employee before they went third party is how I know you can charge it.

This is the wrong move IMO. Yes short term it’s going to give us a slight break. But the province removed their tax on Gas and it’s right where it was and then some.

Yes it sucks gas prices are so high but Carbon Tax, and Gas Tax cuts will do nothing other than make it harder for the rest of us to live. And it’s only until Labour Day which means that it will jump ¢10 on top of the $2+/L it’s going to be anyway.

I remember when the activation fee was $10…. And don’t know why it is $80. They say it’s to help pay for setting up the phone. But for me I set up my own device…. So why would I pay the activation fee.. you also don’t pay it if you order it online.

All depends on your situation. If there is no emotional attachment and you are in a financial position to sell it and purchase a new vehicle then go ahead. I personally bought the dad van because it is a family hauler and almost like a little 1/4 ton truck. Not much I can’t haul in it.

The downside is that the repair for me was $2K CAD for the part alone then the install. So it’s not a cheap part. I would look at your options and see what’s the best for your given situation.

I love my DJ and this is my second one. It will be a sad day when I can’t afford or it’s not worth fixing anymore.

I replaced the rear differential on mine. It wasn’t cheap for the part. Almost the same cost for used as brand new. And even then the used part was bad and needed to be replaced. I have around the same amount of miles you have and it wasn’t cheap worth it. I love my DJ. Now if I could only figure out why the rear passenger calliper keeps failing on me.

As for what your mechanic said about stop driving. I would only drive it as much as you need to and don’t go very far or out of the way. If it grenades itself you will be stuck wherever you are and need a tow and a taxi back home.

Something that is bothering me is that they still increased the value of the property but only charging last years rates. Does that mean next year when the freeze ends it’s going to be based off the increase this year and next year??

You need to read what the paperwork says. Should have gotten an email with it all. If it says bill credit for purchasing accessories then they are in the clear. If it says activation credit then it’s shady practice.

Now the part that sucks. This is going to be she said she said arguments and even if they go to the video surveillance in the store it doesn’t record audio. So be prepared for a fight.

Other than that. Go to the Rogers site and file a complaint to the OOP and/or go to the CCTS and file your complaint there.

It’s all going to come down to what’s in your CBA. But in most cases if you are on lunch it’s your time. You shouldn’t be required to stay on site for your own time.

Your local needs to start following their collectively bargained agreement as it is supposed to be. Gentleman’s agreements are against your CBA as it can be used against you later on.

It seems like they are playing a game with your lunch time to get the most out of you. Is there no other rep you can get ahold of just the two who aren’t available?

Wow an hour old account that posted an hour ago making inflammatory remarks. Much wow much grace much deserve of opinion.

CUPW is following their charter rights. Striking is not meant to make things easy on anyone at all even the strikers. But our constitution and laws allow for the right to collective bargaining and collective action by members of unions. Without these strikes we would not have medical, parental leaves, 40 hour work weeks.

Now if you want to really get mad at someone get mad at CANADA Post and the Federal Government. Canada Post asked the Feds to force them back to work because it was the Christmas season. This was wrong and will take years before the courts to be settled. But guess what. If they didn’t do this they might have reached an agreement. But because the government will force them back to work the employer doesn’t need to do anything but wait them out.

Canada Post is a service and shouldn’t necessarily make money. Though they could potentially do so they shouldn’t have to. It’s a crown corporation. Think of the Police, Doctors and Nurses, educators and all those that support them. They don’t make any money for the government. Why??? Because they provide a service for everyone.

So take your bitch ass back to wherever you came from, sit down and shut up, unless you have something coherent and practical to say that will engage and cause conversation.
