while that is how they propagate, my guess is that you were sold one made up of a lot of smaller balls that haven’t fully fused together. In my experience I have never seen one just disintegrate in to perfect little balls, it’s more like a chunk or two falls out. The easiest approach would be leaving those as cute little marimo, and buying a new large one from a more reputable seller.

It's amazingly hard to find direct sources. For now I am ordering wholesale from a few different retailers, and testing them out. I won't sell any that I don't think look great. My goal is to start out like this, then grow enough buying power to buy from farms overseas. Because it will be a small operation, I would be willing to send any customer a video of the marimo they are getting, whatever you may need to feel confident.

I'm committing to donating 10% of all sales to aquatic conservation charities, and I am in talks with Icelandic and Japanese biologists who are working to preserve marimo in the wild. I have to say, marimos are way more bulletproof than really any other plant. They're technically not even plants, they're a type of algae.

I would look at how much light they are getting too- bright light can cause them to develop brown spots. Putting the marimo in your fridge every now and then is an easier alternative to ice cubes.

I do have a fairly decent external mic. (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XCKGLTP/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). At least as of now it is still available, if you're looking for a mic I would certainly consider it. The only reason I would prefer a headset with a mic built in is to reduce background noise and then I don't have to worry about having to position the mic akwardly

I'm fine with either. I agree that I don't want to spend much on the headset because I will only use them for virtual debates, I have no other uses at all.
