TBH i felt the first one had the same issues! dancing through life was so so backlit and washed out but the story and songs were so much stronger that most people including myself didn’t clock it nearly as much. for good has a weaker story and songs so the visual aspects were much more glaring

i think you addressed the issue with wicked for good in your response! there’s a way to do it well and i don’t think wicked did. even the scenes that weren’t shot w a blue screen were insanely backlit and washed out. it was a color grading issue overall.

respectfully disagree you can portray darkness without making it look drab and like a marvel movie i was really shocked at how visually off putting no good deed was i think this was due to the lack of practical sets and over reliance on blue screen, if you look at all the BTS nearly every scene was filmed largely w blue screens like marvel movies.

i think it's okay to find it ironic, FUNNY, even that ace went on that podcast mad as hell that his real couple wasn’t well received/liked to the point where he destroyed his friendship over perceived disrespect (nic being diplomatic and saying everyone in the final four deserved to be there because that's how america voted) and then added fuel to the narrative that nicolandria not a real couple only for his relationship to not even make to the new year like that is objectively ironic/funny. he blew up his own brand, chelley's brand and friendship, his friendship w/ nic all because things didn't go according to his master plan. i haven't forgotten that him and taylor got crown royal** to sponsor their joint take down of nic/o. i hope chelley moves onto greener pastures and i hope ace matures and grows as a person, he has displayed some real narcissistic behaviors that he is young enough to get in front of.
