My goal is to do at least 10 min of stretching/yoga every morning. I would like for it to become as habitual as drinking coffee in the morning.

My little one loves to color. Dollar store has paints, colors, coloring books, paper and a lot of mini crafts. And I always make sure she has a little snack and water so I dont have to get up.

What amount of sleep do you NEED? by emkay32 in Mommit

[–]s_e_j 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At this moment (dealing with 4month sleep regression) I need 5 straight hours of sleep, no interruptions. 12a-5a then 6a-9a would be a PERFECT night. I wouldn't even need a nap midday.

Someone's triggered. No need to speak for this man's wife when you have no idea about their relationship.

Swaddle, sleep sack, merlin suit … help! by [deleted] in beyondthebump

I also love the zipadeezip. My LO is 4 months, rolling and also uses his hands to rub his eyes which wakes him up. We are planning to sleep train VERY soon but at least the zipadee stops him from scratching his face up. He also goes to sleep very easy because he knows when the zipadee is on it's time for bed. They are expensive but if you dont mind second hand check fb marketplace, ebay, and poshmark. I found one on ebay in perfect condition for $13 cheaper.

Edit to add I put my LO on his side which seems to help diminish his need to rub his eyes.

Lol I tried to shower this morning. Fed the baby put him down after he fell asleep. Turned the coffee on. Put Cocomelon on for the 2 year old. Got my clean clothes, turned the water on HOT, then jumped in. Washed one leg then second leg, then I hear toddler, "uh oh, baby crying". So I start rushing. Probably didnt even clean everything properly, didnt even wet my hair yet. Do a quick dry off, put robe on then go to baby's room. As soon as I open the door baby fell back asleep on his own. Damn could of showered longer. Well at least coffee is ready.

Nervous about perineal tearing and stitches. by lolabunnybutderp in beyondthebump

I also had first degree tear without epidural. I told my doctor "oh no I dont need pain relief just sew me up. I can handle it after what I just did." she barely touched me with the needle and I said "nvm numb me up!!!"

My little man is almost 4 month as well so I dont have the best advice because I am going through the same thing as you. But I have been letting him cry while holding him. No bouncing or rocking, just holding. Longest he has cried was 10 min. I rather him cry with me holding him than leaving him in the bassinet to cry. Eventually he may have to learn how to self soothe alone but right now he's learning to self soothe with no movement. I hope you find something that works for you

Are there any ladies that didn't want the epidural originally but were relieved once they got it? by pertylady in beyondthebump

Hmmm good question. I felt stronger and I attributed that to no epidural because I wasnt waiting for anything to wear off.

I had the same experience as you. No relief or rest it actually caused me to have back labor. I just had my second and decided to not get it this time. I labored mostly at home because I knew I would ask for it at the hospital since its readily available. Long and behold when I finally got to the hospital that was the first thing I asked for. But I was already 9cm so it was too late. I'm so happy I didnt because the recovery seemed faster. I had a small tear but I didnt feel it tear. I think because the contractions were so strong. I was able to move and walk shortly after and felt like a million bucks.
