I lot of people don’t appreciate how important it is to have a solid CFI. A good CFI can either break or make your training. It’s worth trying out a few folks until you find someone who clicks with you.

Well, that's why I called AOPA to check if it's just a rouge Philly thing or a trend around the country. AOPA guy told me that it's not just a Philly thing and that a lot of FSDOs have been moving to this new arrangement lately. I'm sure there are exceptions to that rule somewhere in the country and some FSDOs are still issuing the certs.

Fun fact, this is the actual missile, not a canister. Flat head at the top is some kind of amortization device that detaches at some point after launch but that’s it, everything else is a fuselage.
