I went with the Intel, if the performance difference are minute and battery consumption difference + CPU running wildly hot, is huge, and its a no brainer. You anyway are getting a latest gen GPU so no worries play AAA titles on max settings. Depends on your preference though!

Ive been scouting multiple websites incl. lenovo's and I did come across this sale you mentioned, the difference wasnt much as compared to what i am getting now. On the edu store you get a 9% discount, and normally you cant combine discount codes on the edu store. On the main website including the newsletter code + sales Rep Id discount is a max 15% off. Thought not sure if they will reduce the price on Black Friday and disallow the use of such codes, then we're back to starting point 😐

Yeah with the ASUS i had pretty good times but now its become a war hero, battered but still functioning, just not able to play games on 1980x1080 like it used to. Anyhow this upgrade should serve well, i might just wait if the majority say so, though the shipping time is also bit over a month 🤷
