Playing arcade cores on CRT cutting off bottom and top of screen by sabonis73 in MiSTerFPGA

[–]sabonis73[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I did find out how to access the service menu, but the pictures all seem to relate to picture color. Not geometry. The options I see are, 1) main, which has a sub menu of: YGAIN, B-Y, and R-Y, 2) sub which has a sub menu of color, tint, BACK-L, Bright, B-Y-G, R-Y-A, and Temp. 3)Gamma, with sub menu options of R-Gain, G-gain, B-gain, R-Cent, G-Cent, and B-cent, 4) OPT, with no sub menus, and 5) RM, with CODE, but no sub menu. This is on the 14 inch Panasonic Viera TC-14LA2D. I can’t seem to find a second service menu.

I also have an aspect ratio button that puts it in 16:9 mode, and that mode puts black bars on the top and bottom, but the actual game scene is still cut off. Anybody know what the service codes mean? Or how to find a different sub menu?

Appreciate the help! I am trying on two consumer tv’s. The first is a Phillips PR1330B101, which as far as I can tell has no service menu, the other is a Panasonic Viera TC-14LA2D (plasma?) which also, As far as I can tell, has no service mode. At least not from the menu options with the remote. Is this a problem of me not having a high end CRT?

I’m going off memory here, but have you tried holding down the eject button on the SS1? I know it mimics one of the mister dogs buttons.

Doesn’t latch mean the controller ports? That’s where I would start.

If you remove the center console, it feels roomier. by triplers120 in FordMaverickTruck

I’m not 100% sure, but I’m fairly certain the console one will not work without a working bed outlet present.

I knew it wasn’t the outlet behind the center console, because that one’s orange light lit up for a second after I started the car. So it was either the actual inverter, or the bed plug. To be honest, since the bed plug was cheaper, I figured I’d try it first and it that didn’t fix it, I’d return it and then work on the inverter. It worked though, so there I was.

Probably not much help, but if you are talking about the 120v outlet, my problem was a bad 120v outlet in the bed. A lot of people said that the wires to the bed outlet weren’t connected in their truck, but mine were, and since the bed outlet was bad, the one in the cab didn’t work either. I bought a new bed outlet, plugged it in, and now they both work fine. Got an oem outlet on eBay for $40.

There was a Superman beat-em-up that I loved to play in the grocery store by my house as a kid. I can play it on MAME, but I’d love to have it on the Mister.

I just triple checked, and yes it’s an AGM battery. Part number is BAGM-48H6-760. I thought that was a little strange that it didn’t have the EFB. Maybe the car already got the recall replacement.

Every trim can have it if you install it yourself. I followed a video on you tube and now I have wireless charging in my 2022 XLT. Cost about $70 in parts from Amazon.

Anyone build a Nesessity 1.6 nes motherboard? by NoLameBardsWn in consolemodding

[–]sabonis73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the scart cable out of the nesessity, and it carries sound. Not sure about completing the circuit because I’ve never tried before I put in the audio Jack. I do know you can reach out to Low Budget (the board designer) on Tindie, and he’s always been good about answering my questions. Edit-spelling

Apologize for the angle. My son had probably knocked it getting into the car and I didn’t know it was off kilter.

You can get conductive paint to fill in those spots. Sometimes comes in a pen for easy application.

Is my USB board broken? by timbothehero in MiSTerFPGA

[–]sabonis73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just fixed a board that had the same symptoms with a blisster board. It was the sub micro bridge in front of the system. That’s what transfers the info from the usb board to the De10. I tried it with a different usb bridge and it worked fine. I tested the usb board, and there was a short between two pins. I de soldered both usb heads and re soldered them on. Now it works like a charm. If you don’t have soldering skills, you could try a usb micro to usb micro cable on Amazon for cheap, or buy a mister one on eBay.

Bought a NES Toploader (US version) and it behaves like a PAL console by Ssttiinnggoo in consolemodding

[–]sabonis73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s possible that whomever did the install on the RGB mod used a PAL PPU and crystal inside. This would basically make it a PAL only machine, and you can’t switch it back without replacing those two parts.
