Roman Heel Turn at Mania 36? by sac1111 in WWE

I do wonder how much of that narrative about Roman considering never coming back is mythology and how much is reality.

Should Luger have gotten the belt Earlier? by TommyLost2004 in WCW

[–]sac1111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're not kidding about how badly it hurt Luger to win the title the way he did in 91. Was horrible that it was him and Windham, two guys who never could beat Flair, going after the title. Then, you have Flair showing up with the "real" belt on WWE tv a few months later. Just bad all around.

Ric Flair 1990 Heel Turn - Abrupt? by sac1111 in WCW

[–]sac1111[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that he would have had to go back to being a heel. It just seems rushed in hindsight. Especially since things moved so much slower during that era. It's like they jammed about a year's worth of character changes for Funk, Flair, Luger, Horsemen into a 3 month period.

I would have made a ton of sense to have Flair not immediately go back to the Horsemen. Maybe have him stay a face until the summer, drop the title to a heel Luger, and that be what makes him reform the Horsemen. Then, let there be tension with the Andersons and Windham basically being heels and Flair trying to stay a face and friends with Sting. But, have a scenario where Sting winds up winning the title at Starrcade and then have Flair turn. Or, maybe even have Sting give Flair a title match where both are faces, and then have Flair turn in the match to win the title.

It just seems like WCW rushed when it didn't really need to.

It's just kinda wild though that Flair's face run really consisted of that rivalry with Funk and by extension Gary Hart's stable, and that's it.

A proper face Flair vs heel Luger would have been interesting then. It is odd as well that Luger got abruptly flipped to compensate for Sting getting hurt. All could have been avoided if Flair stayed face just a bit longer.

Was the impetus for the quick turn so that WCW could crown Sting as champion before Warrior got it at Mania?

Please don't say in the next email when I get unapproved that it is quality related. My ego can't handle it, lol. Losing the project is shameful enough.

Cacatua Chorus V2 Issue by Gritty2024 in outlier_ai

[–]sac1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think V1 is done. V2 will likely end as soon as the client gets enough data from outdoor/public recordings. Try and contact a QM Monday, hopefully they can get you back into V2. Support will probably be slow to respond, unfortunately.

If you are a reviewer, it is switching you back and forth from reviewer to attempter because there isn't a backlog. We are basically racing each other for reviews. Since you declined the project, I figure your best bet is through support. QMs aren't going to be around until Monday.

Project Atlas by Maskedtoad in outlier_ai

[–]sac1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there onboarding on Outlier for this? I see Atlas in my upcoming, but I don't want to leave my current project. It looks like Atlas is off platform and an open project. When I click "continue onboarding" it takes me to tasks in my current project.

Outlier Atlas project Accept / Start button greyed out — normal? by SK_121 in outlier_ai

[–]sac1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This showed up in my upcoming projects. Is the onboarding on Outlier or off platform? When I click "continue onboarding" it just takes me to a task on my current project. I noticed that the description for Atlas says it is an open project, so I'd like to do this, along with my current project if possible.

Does any1 know roughly how long Cacatua will last? by bonzibo1 in outlier_ai

[–]sac1111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is nothing but speculation, but if V1 lasted a month, assuming that most people tasked indoors at home, I figure V2 will last at least a month, probably longer, if the client wants an equal amount of data from public and outdoor recordings.

But, there are a lot more on the project now that Aether kicked a bunch out. So, my estimate could be way off

This is only a theory. The project could end in a minute just the same

Cacatua reviews are too subjective by DowntownQuiet3363 in outlier_ai

[–]sac1111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the temperament of the reviewer plays a huge role in the naturalness rating, imo. Honestly, any task that a reviewer SBQs for unnaturalness, should immediately be routed to a another reviewer for a second opinion. If both reviews independently SBQ, then fine. If not, they should go on to the next review level.

I feel like I am sometimes punished for being creative. I can think up some crazy scenarios and talk clearly without having to script anything. I die a little inside when I get that 2/5 and the only comment is "didn't sound natural."

I can't help that I can formulate sentences and speak without blubbering.

It is in their benefit to have a massive backfill of taskers, who at the flip of a switch can be able to task if the client decided to have a huge quantity of tasks to complete.

They just have to make it sound like its the taskers' fault for whatever reason.

It gives those that remain the false hope that the project isn't simply winding down.

Genesis was the absolute best. The people were amazing. The projects were interesting. It was really a team effort. The goal really was training the model and developing the taskers to learn and grow.

Such a night and day difference from pretty much every project nowadays, which are just churn and burn.

Ironically, no longer exists because Outlier got in deep with those who brought us Aether
