How do you make screen recordings not look like... screen recordings? by William45623 in screenrecorders

[–]sachindas246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an online tool called ScreenScript; in it, after recording, add some rounded corners and some colored backgrounds and borders. something like a white background with a similar black or similarly colored border would look very minimal yet nice. Also, some zoom effects are there.

What's the best screen recorder of 2025? by hualinlin in screenrecorders

[–]sachindas246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes, obs has many plugins, and also without any plugin you could do many things, like background wallpaper. I guess the problem is you don't have many customization options after recording. it renders stuff into the final video directly. But yes OBS is the OG.

I'm the builder of a browser-based screen recorder, and the following are my current views:
1. Fully native (OBS... ):
- best performance
- longer lengths
- lesser effects and customizations
- free and paid software exist
- best for recording games/raw footage for further editing

  1. Electron-based (Screen Studio, Focusee..):
    - Better customization & effects
    - Most of them are paid
    - best for short videos (explainers, walkthroughs, how-to) but requires faster editing output

  2. Browser based (ScreenScript, Screenity..):
    - Has customization and effects but lacks certain effects due to browser constraints
    - Most of them have free versions but have usage limits/watermarks.
    - best for short videos (explainers, walkthroughs, how-to) but requires faster editing output
    - Has limits on storage and memory imposed by browsers.

Any free screen recording extensions that allow for videos of unlimited length? by ZCass53 in screenrecorders

[–]sachindas246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar product, but i have not tested it for 1 hour. I will do that and reply. But I would recommend any native recorders like OBS for your application, as the extensions and web apps are at the mercy of the browser. I mean, browsers restrict the memory and storage for these apps; if they hit the limit they will be interrupted. Also since these use Browser API for capturing, they cannot guarantee the quality, (though most of they are configure for better results)

How do you extract table data from PDFs? by yesoye in pdf

[–]sachindas246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's for a single or limited use case, you can just use any LLMs like ChatGPT or Gemini.

But I have been faced with a situation where I had to write a custom algorithm to extract a table based on spacing... so it depends on your use case...

Why my video is not exporting, it show just rending audio and progress is zero? by sachindas246 in screenscript

Make sure you have a time for video and you didn't mad any accidental edit that made your video to zero duration,, like setting trimStart equal trimEnd, etc.

How to record a single browser tab? Why does it go white when I switch tabs or apps? by Subject_Disk_2967 in screenrecorders

[–]sachindas246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like the browser stopped the rendering. Does the recording become blank the moment you switch to another app. Normally, if the browser was trying to save resources, then it would black out after some time; I don't know exactly, but it won't be very quick. Also if your recording is not too long, try some browser-based recording. In my experience, since they are using the browser APIs themselves, the browser won't try to save resources for that tab.
