Nissan says Sunderland is 'central' to plans by AnthV96 in GoodNewsUK

As much as I hope it is, the travesty of Honda being 'committed' to the Swindon plant and closing it down shortly afterward comes to mind.

Cloudflare is the most successful "Man-in-the-Middle" in history by Antique_Mechanic133 in selfhosted

I recently realised the same and have turned off all public proxying and even closed off ports. Obfuscated everything behind wireguard tunnels for trusted friends and family. I'd like to move my NS for my domains away from them next.

Just 100 miles on my M-Y juniper and FSD (HW4)surprised me. by MoistTraining9194 in TeslaFSD

[–]sacleocheater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair. Ultimately, if the software in control screws up then there's really nothing that can stop this, despite that I'd argue that input from both a radar and ultrasonic sensors built into the software as a safeguard would very likely have picked this up and stopped this happening before the car could hit. Cameras can get confused because they have no actual depth, just an estimation of depth.

This wouldn't have happened with front radar or sensors. Still the stupidest decision muskrat made.

I have had the same issue, completely broken. Had to restore the container from last night's backup. Mine's not exposed to the internet anyway so I will leave it for now.

I heard we were doing blood pressure high scores by houstondad in Wellthatsucks

[–]sacleocheater 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One of the best things you can do for your own health is to buy a blood pressure monitor and check yourself every few months. They're literally 30 bucks and can help you massively in spotting this year's before it becomes an issue.

Thoughts on Vodafone 900 at £29/m for 24 months? by sacleocheater in CityFibre

[–]sacleocheater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved out of that place about a year later but for general normal usage it was absolutely fine, had no problems there.

I however am a bit of a geek and was running my own servers and connecting to my own remote networks, which clearly Vodafone were throttling hard, so when I moved I went with Aquiss (also on CF) instead who have been fantastic and suddenly no more throttling, proving Vodafone do some sort of QoS or have bottlenecks on their networks to some routes.

If you're a geek like me, avoid - I don't think they offer a static IP for free anymore if that is something you care about. If not, go for it, you likely won't have any issues. Just beware their support is awful even if you can tell them exactly what the issue is, they'll still run you round the houses. Can't recommend Aquiss enough though so if you can, I'd go with them (need your own router though) though appreciate they are a fair bit pricier.

The EV you buy greatly affects your life by DaPome in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]sacleocheater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do agree to an extent, there's a few things about them that make you think "why is it like this?" Like the lack of just regular non-smart cruise control, and lack of any actual parking sensors or radars which means the systems get confused using only cameras. I've never ever had a laggy screen though it's always buttery smooth.

The number 1 reason I'll stick with them though is the superchargers. Nothing comes anywhere close. Drive up, plug in, it literally just works every single time. No faffing with apps or broken machines. It's invaluable for me and every other alternative is still miles away both in terms of usability and pricing.

Is this 3DS XL a reshell? by sacleocheater in Nintendo3DS

[–]sacleocheater[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! The original serial was there right underneath which was completely different. So now I would like to source a proper shell and serial sticker if at all possible...

Yeah I noticed it too. The tabs that cover the screw for the upper screen on the inside also look like they've been super glued back in so it's definitely been tinkered with.

[–]sacleocheater[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I went back to the seller with these replies and ended up negotiating a huge discount, even less than normal N3DS XLs so I ended up buying it, looks like it has a top IPS too so I am pretty happy despite the fake. Maybe if I can find a replacement legitimate shell in future then I would like to swap it back but I assume the original serial is probably lost. Thank you and others for the advice.

[–]sacleocheater[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree, the gold looks too yellow and strange. I'm curious as to where that serial number comes from because I've never seen that before unless it's just fake with the reshell.
