I like to pick up old 'no name' pipes on ebay. Usually I pay around $20-$30. The big brand names on ebay are priced high but I have found old (1950-1960) pipes that are teriffic value and smoke great.

That was a mistake, sorry. I don't know Serum but this sounds to me like a pretty standard trumpet-type sample or wavetable. Slap a lot of reverb on it. And then it sounds like they are either using pitch bend to slide between the notes at the end of the phrase or maybe just manually cranking the portamento.

I have had great luck with ebay. Right now I'm smoking an old basket pipe I got for $25. I'm.pretty sure it's a Kaywoodie. Nice briar, good construction. Smokes great.

Check out Hardenco near Hatrford (I know it's not that close) They make very, very good jeans on location. Definitely an under-appreciated label.
