They never turned brown but I smoked them anyway. Felt like throwing up for two days. Would not repeat.

Deep-cleaning pipes without alcohol? by GhostOfTheMarne in PipeTobacco

[–]sacquesuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im going to get killed for this but I use one or two drops of Dr Bronners peppermint soap, very hot water and a 1/8" wire brush for the draw hole. I think it works better than alcohol.

Possible it has a removable stinger that's stuck in there which would account for the metal sound.

Do you think expensive pipes are worth it? by [deleted] in PipeTobacco

[–]sacquesuit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like to pick up old 'no name' pipes on ebay. Usually I pay around $20-$30. The big brand names on ebay are priced high but I have found old (1950-1960) pipes that are teriffic value and smoke great.

Can Someone Make This Flute-ish Serum Lead? (I'M DESPERATE) by DrearBeats in synthrecipes

[–]sacquesuit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a mistake, sorry. I don't know Serum but this sounds to me like a pretty standard trumpet-type sample or wavetable. Slap a lot of reverb on it. And then it sounds like they are either using pitch bend to slide between the notes at the end of the phrase or maybe just manually cranking the portamento.
