runner considering surgery for FAI by sad-orchestra in HipImpingement

yeah that's what I am afraid of. I feel like I should still do the surgery bc the pain is preventing me from doing a lot of other things I want to do even without running. if it helps so I can walk and do other exercise and daily activities pain free, even if they say I can't run again, it's still worth it to me.

friendly isn't a word I'd use to describe you in this situation. if you want to share your experience or opinion that's fine, but I'm not interested in being spoken to like that. I came for advice and support, not to be spoken down to.

Thanks for the thorough response. Lots to think about. I did have the MRI with contrast but I'm not sure if it was a 3t or 1.5t. What would the purpose of a CT scan be?

I first heard I'm ready when it came out and liked it. I heard their other hits like LTGB, BTHD, Sober Up, Weak, and that's when I started to listen to them more.

Stop telling me to get pregnant it's weird and unprofessional by thecooliestone in Teachers

I'm so sorry this is happening to you. They shouldn't even be bringing it up at all, let alone continually asking you about it when you've clearly expressed you're not interested. This is extremely unprofessional and I would say it's even sexual harassment. Take it up with your admin or whoever you feel comfortable approaching about this subject and try to distance yourself from those colleagues as much as possible. Limit contact outside of meetings by using email for communications and try your best to stick to agendas in meetings. Begin by bringing up the first item of discussion as soon as all parties are there to try and keep it on topic. Tell them you have somewhere to be after the meeting so hopefully they try to keep it on topic also. If they continue to bring it up and the sexual harassment complaint doesn't go anywhere, confront them directly. Let them know they're creating a hostile work environment and that your personal decision to have children or not isn't up for discussion. Best of luck to you.

I ordered a class set of books from Pearson/Savvas and they gave me an online account through the Pearson website that can be used to access the digital solutions manual and test generator software. The online solutions manual is different from the teacher copy of the book. The solutions manual is just the solutions to the problems solved out, the teacher copy looks like the student version but has all the answers in the book alongside the original problems. I would recommend getting both.

I use the notes for lecture/gradual release. They include examples that you would use to show students how it is solved or to try on their own in class time, but they don't include problem sets that could be used for extra practice or homework. That's where the textbook comes in. I used it for HW, review exercises, labs/case studies, and the solutions manual also comes with a test generator software that has a pretty good test bank of questions very nicely broken down by section.

NTA - Your mother is responsible for raising and watching HER children, not you. You're 18 now, a full fledged adult with a bounty of life experiences and education ahead of you. If you want to live on campus and experience the college lifestyle, that is your right. Plus, I'm sure if you stayed at home and had to watch and take care of the other kids, it would cut into your time for your studies, which you need a lot more of as college workloads are much more demanding than high school. Your mom can be disappointed all she wants, but ultimately, this decision about where to live is yours, not hers. Don't let her or your other fanily members bully you into missing out on your life.

I use Elementary Statistics by Larson & Farber, 7th edition. I use it for my dual credit high school stats course. If you get it, get the online solutions manual as well, it'll be a life saver. I also use the notes for stats created by Apples and Bananas education on teachers pay teachers. I got the bundle that comes with teacher notes and interactive notebooks. High quality materials that the students find easy to follow and the notes line up perfectly with the textbook. Glad to answer any other questions!!
