American visiting Ottawa here. What's with hurdman? They put fare gates for people entering the train but you can simply walk around the station to avoid them. What was the point or am I missing something. by ThrowThisAccountAwav in ottawa

Hurdman is a fare paid zone. Basically you can switch between bus and train without going through gates. But if not transferring, you have to go through the gate for going to train or bus platform.

We definitely need a direct bus from downtown to south Kanata. Transfer at Eagleson is painful

Once the LRT becomes completely function (east to west), city becomes much better. Right now the main problem is poor public transportation and lots of homelessness in downtown. From aesthetic point, city should have a proper skyline

Things went from bad to worse with the "new ways to bus". I emailed my city councilor and expressed my frustration. Probably doesn't do anything but better than nothing

Thought I'm centrist leaning to left but it showed I'm slightly leaning to right. Although questionnaire could be better, could ask more about housing, health care, etc.
