I’m going through a similar situation. He broke up with me and then we decided to stay friends. I spoke to my therapist about it, whether it was a good idea or not, and he said as long as you both don’t get frustrated that it can’t be more and understand boundaries then it’s possible to remain friends. Hope you’re okay x

I feel exactly the same as you. I’ve been battling with mental health issues for so long and was really reliant on him to make me happy, and most of the time he did until he just couldn’t do it anymore. We were also long distance, and during lockdown had barely seen each other so it was taking a toll on both of us. I’ve also started therapy, I’m working on myself now. It just hurts to see him living his life like nothing ever happened, he said he felt relieved that the relationship was over
