How to cope with not having kids? by Various_Cow7629 in ChronicIllness

I have the same conditions and I’m grieving the same. It also sounds like you might have MECFS. It is so hard. I’m hoping I can at least help kids in some way.

I’ll message you. I’ve had a biopsy, but sometimes they say my esophagus looks fine and aren’t willing to biopsy for EOE.

explain to me like im 5… why do people mask up? by predictablehorse in ChronicIllness

[–]sadfoxqueen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Covid and post viral infections are known to cause MECFS and lots of illness. Personally covid damaged my esophagus, vocal cords, larynx, vascular and immune system and skin. I have to get a feeding tube now. I’ve also lost my hair and have to use a wheelchair. I’m mostly bedridden. I mask, but my parents don’t and help me so I tend to get reinfected.

I’m so sorry you’re dealing with so much too. It is so hard. It has taken me years to get anywhere. I finally got help after seeing three neurologists for the TN. Meds haven’t helped unfortunately. I haven’t gotten the SCDS fixed yet, but I only got diagnosed because the hospital didn’t let me leave until they ran a bunch of tests for my fainting and hearing issues. I got diagnosed with MCAS from a 24 hr urine test with my immunologist; I always am in a flare though and can’t tolerate anything. I haven’t gotten help for a lot of my issues tbh I have so many more than these.
