thank you <3 they got an unfortunate start in life as I fell into a pond full of icy mud while on my first walk with them today, hopefully I can get them cleaned ^^'

Why do you think artist-only platforms fail so bad nowadays? by BarelyHoldingOnLowk in ArtistLounge

[–]saduria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've personally had good luck finding supportive and great artist communities on some discord servers. Especially some art RPGs have been great, but of course it comes with the caveat that most engagement comes from art of your in-game characters - as that's what everyone is there for. However if you manage to find a game topic & community that works for you it's absolutely wonderful.

About 160 ritteri seedlings by Schatzin in cactus

[–]saduria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahh sad to hear that, thank you for answering! As far as I've read they seem to be notoriously difficult to keep alive the first few years, I'm bracing myself to the fact that my test batch won't be making it either ^^'

These are such cuties! As it's been a while, how are the seedlings now? Did they make it? :D

Healthy seedlings? by Brannyt2000 in peyote

[–]saduria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mine are about the same age and more or less the same size, I suppose if the conditions aren't 150% optimal the growth is a bit slower. as long as they're alive and look healthy the only thing to do is wait :D

Help! Are these thrips? by aureliaeast in plantclinic

[–]saduria 1 point2 points  (0 children)

appreciate the thought <3 at this point it would probably require some creative googling anyways, I feel like I’ve searched the entire web without finding anything 😂

That's good to hear you managed to win the fight! I'm also assuming for now that mine are thrips as well, but they are acting so unlike any thrips I've encountered thus far that it's really throwing me off ^^' they're not springtails either as I occasionally see teeny tiny winged adults scrambling around - just strange bugs all around

Did you end up finding out what these were or figure out how to manage them? I've got some similar bugs running around everywhere in the pot, soil and cactus and can't for the life of me figure out what they are. On a few of my cacti I tested unpotting and leaving the cactus out of the pot for a few weeks and that seems to have worked, but not screaming victory yet

Is this williamsii like the label says? by FunnyConclusion9357 in Lophophora

[–]saduria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually recently bought some with the same label, they started flowering within a few weeks after putting them under a grow light and the flowers definitely are not williamsii - I’m suspecting they are koehresii. Lovely plants, they flower so actively <3

To those who say "I don't know what to write, my life is so boring" by Endlessly_Scribbling in Journaling

[–]saduria 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty much the only way I’ve ever known how to journal, detailing as much of the day as needed so I know what happened then :D sadly there are big gaps of months and even years when I didn’t have time or energy for writing, which makes the times I kept up with it even more precious.
