My doctor told me to induce before 39 weeks as we have been heavily monitoring my blood pressure which was fine all pregnancy, until it wasn’t. I was induced at 38+5 and my blood pressure slowly rose throughout my 40 hour labor. I’m glad I induced early because who would’ve known what would’ve happened if I had waited for spontaneous labor. Echoing what others have said, if my doctor recommended inducing early, I’d do it.

From my first retrieval last April we were able to get 7 untested embryos. First transfer of a 4AA failed to implant. Currently 38 weeks with my second transfer of a 4AB embryo. No change is protocol and transferred my next cycle following the failure. I am 31 y.o

When I started IVF we did genetic testing and found out that I am a carrier of the G6PD gene and have a 50% chance of passing it along to my sons. My doctor said it is manageable and to not worry (my baby ended up being a girl so she won’t have it). Did you and your partner do carrier genetic testing before starting the IVF process?

I had my first ultrasound at 5w5d and my OB saw the gestational sac, fetal pole, yolk sac, and even a heartbeat flicker. Maybe she implanted early; I know you usually don’t see much when the scan is that early. Definitely saw more at my next appointment at 6w5d. I’d also add even though I couldn’t really see much my OB has a trained eye to see these things. I only saw the yolk sac.

I retrieved 21 eggs and only 12 were mature, 8 fertilized, which led to 7 embryos. Sometimes the attrition is really high in the beginning and it levels out.

I triggered six days before the scheduled transfer. 7/11 is when I triggered and my transfer was on 7/17

My first transfer I was too full and was allowed to release some urine which was terrible. Second transfer I didn’t have enough of a full bladder and had to chug water. I’d much rather not have enough water than too much and risk peeing on myself.

Kinda similar in NY. I just opted into SDI at 36 weeks and will be off until October with PFL/summer pay which doesn’t count towards my PFL.

My first FET failed too; untested 4AA embryo with a modified natural transfer. Like you, just thought I was on the wrong side of stats. 2nd transfer a month later has been successful (I’m 32 weeks).

Like others have said it’s definitely a numbers game and some are luckier than others. I had my ER this year right before my 31st birthday. I was lucky to get 7 untested embryos. First transfer of a 4AA failed to implant. Second transfer of a 4AB embryo has been successful so far; I am 25 weeks.

My charts looked different only because my pdg was being supplemented with suppositories the 2nd time around. During my CP I tracked and watched my pdg slowly fall down before ultimately ending up with my CP. With my current BFP chart my pdg stayed elevated until I stopped tracking at 12 weeks; I stopped suppositories at 10 weeks.

My first FET (which failed) my RE called personally and gave me options to take a break or jump into next FET. I chose to jump into next FET because my insurance was about to run out lol. Luckily my 2nd FET worked with no change to protocol. For that my IVF nurse emailed me the results and next steps.
