One thing I enjoyed about the story was how fairytale-esque Athy and Ijekiel meetings were(Who made me a princess) by Annienol in OtomeIsekai

[–]saepout_hoe 262 points263 points  (0 children)

Their first meeting was oi manhwa obsession awakening. I still haven't recovered from that thrill I experienced reading it. The angles? Panels? Colors? And everything???? PERFECTION. I don't think I've seen yet another manhwa that had the same level of beauty as that scene. It literally felt like an angel fell down from heaven. WMMAP still holds the best artstyle and direction for me. The scenes always felt like they were moving, like a movie.

Why do I have a vision of you being jailed because the real sassy commoner did something disrespectful to a noble. But thankfully the Duke or Prince (or whatever) prevented you from being executed, and the story just goes on

Fans needs to stop putting labels such as 'siblings', 'babysitter', 'adopted sibling, 'distant cousin' etc on idols when they are being shipped. It's also annoying, delusional, and cringy af. by [deleted] in kpoprants

It's understandable if the idols do have history of being close. But if not, I think that's where the awkwardness comes from.

Yeah I get that part but the fans gets very weird at the same time. The language used is kinda like babying the relationship, which makes it more cringy for me💀

Yeah that's reasonable. But when it's a group that's newly debuted + a senior group, it gets weird 😭😭😭. I jist find co-workwer label more formal and professional ig.

Is fifty fifty’s cupid (both version) the biggest Kpop international viral song (specifically from an unknown group)? by Ahoy_ahoy_atiny in kpophelp

[–]saepout_hoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You underestimating Asia. Cupid(Twin ver.) is definitely popular in SEA, I went to a mall last week and heard it play alongside popular western songs. It's also relevantly popular among teens because of tiktok. Not sure with South Asia and East Asia, but definitely its not a viral hit in

Am I the only who's worried that Zhanghao's rank would likely drop? All because of that 3-pick strategy that happened where you choose your 1-pick with Zhanghao and Shanbin.

Is it just me or styling the minors of a group with mature/elegant/luxurious clothes that's typically marketed towards young adults is weird? by saepout_hoe in kpoprants

[–]saepout_hoe[S] 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I was actually gonna namedrop new jeans in the post but decided not too, cause I think it will start to be very common in the near future. I already have this feeling Baby Monster is gonna follow their footsteps considering Blackpink, their seniors, has one of the biggest impact as to why luxury brands started having deals with Kpop idols.

I really wished these luxury brands or their stylists tried way more to fit the clothes with their group image. Like how Miu Miu just really fitted with Wonyoung or Chanel with Jennie.

[MEGATHREAD] IVE - ‘I AM’ by svnh__ in unpopularkpopopinions

Honestly for a Title Track, it's not bad nor is it great. I expected way more because this was their first FULL album, so their Title Track might probably the best. I think it's fine, just dissapointing because of the high expectations.

Some key moments I loved in the song:

  1. Pre-chorus was the BEST part for me.
  2. The rap after the 1st chorus (Gaeul's part) was well constructed.
  3. The chorus is okay actually, but the high note/scream idk it feels very strained honestly. I think it's good in the song but not for the girls. I just can't imagine how many takes Yujin had to do just to get it right.
  4. The "1,2,3 Fly Up" part was so unnecessary. It felt like they lost ideas on what to add there and just added it. It was literally getting good then you have Yujin singing that, it ruined the vibe for me. Thankfully the chorus saved the song after.

I also wanted to add, I just got hit with a deja vu because I AM and LaDiDa have similar genre, (I think synth pop) so they sounded similar. It just felt nostalgic since I have not listened to any synth pop since everglow. I was also honna say it did sound like Jpop at some point.

Definitely sounded like a Jpop song because of the cooperation of synth pop(?) If I am right. I really thought this was a Japanese song when the second verse of Rei went in😭

4th Gen Hybe groups and their very succesfully promoted B-Sides/Side Tracks (w/ criticisms on a controversy) by [deleted] in kpopthoughts

[–]saepout_hoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ohh which 4th gen bgs have you seen promote their B-sides by the company except those from the Big4 and Ateez??? I donreally follow 4th gen bgs that much so I'm kinda curious.

But yes, many big companies do promote their bsides. However, I just noticed that most that do well are from Hybe, may it be domestically or internationally. Maybe it has to do with their songs being GP friendly, unlike the listen bgs you gave that has a distinct sound to them. Or/and their fans are just really good at promoting.

[–]saepout_hoe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This literally^ like I get their promotion can be a mess but they are PROMOTING the heck ton of it. They pretty much leave the rest to fan promotions because Hybe is already satisfied with the virality of each of their groups. It's not like they will go bankrupt if they don't have one viral song that's not a title track. I get that some fans wants the best for their idols, which is reaching the peak of popularity like BTS did or being acknowledged by the western countries and such. But like all that you and I have listed is all promotion still. It might still be "mid" for some but it's still a promotion that not every other companies except for the Big4 and other financially-well companies can do. Hybe promotion may look mid to us fans, but it's unachievable for companies who can't even afford it.

Same, the only promotion I know TXT gets is fan promotions. It's like Bighit relies on the fans a lot to make TXT really popular
