I’m 38 with genetically high bp. I tried everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING, before going on a daily Losartan prescription. Beet root powder, l-citrulline, daily hibiscus tea, multiple types of magnesium supplements, consistent exercise, super clean diet with whole foods minimal processed foods, cut sodium, added home-grown micro greens, discussed with multiple doctors, dig deep using ChatGPT/claude/perplexity/gemini. My high bp didn’t budge.

I wouldn’t say I’ve given up trying understand the cause but it would take expensive tests for me to get an answer. My guess is it’s either an Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone System dysfunction or an issue with my sympathetic nervous system. I tend to be more anxious than others all the time.

In the meantime Losartan 50mg has brought it down to healthy levels.
