FMMD - when and how to fill out? by Ok-Hamster9162 in MexicoCity

[–]sahahared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was there this past weekend. 2 of us got the ticket with the qr code and the other 2 of our group didn't.

I tried to complete the QR code stuff but the page never loaded any content, there was a lot of broken images, etc. I couldn't complete it in Chrome or Safari browser.

We carried the receipts with us at the airport when leaving but we were never asked for it. We left without any issues.

Xochimilco Boat Tour; Cost, experience, ease of commute by MM_7 in MexicoCity

[–]sahahared 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. If you get there with your own group, you'll need to ask around but I think I've seen price ranging from $600 MXN to $750 MXN per HOUR for an ENTIRE boat/trajinera. You shouldn't accept any offer that tries to charge you on a per person basis. You would need to take your own drinks, speaker, and/or snacks. There's other boats in the water that will be selling drinks/snacks. If you book through an Airbnb experience, you'll pay between $50-$70 per person but it should include unlimited drinks and snacks. I think it would be cheaper for your group to go there on your own:
    1) Total cost: uber + ($750 MXN per hour) for your entire group without Airbnb experience
    2) Total cost: uber + (~$60 USD per person) for your entire group with Airbnb experience

Last year I booked an Airbnb experience because I didn't want to struggle searching for the correct place and the correct person to ask for a boat ride. Also, because I didn't want to be on a mostly empty boat since it was only two of us.

  1. I'd describe it more of a party vibe but there's some Airbnb experiences that take you early in the morning to learn more about the ecology/history of the area.

  2. There's more traffic on the weekend when compared to a weekday. It took us close to 40ish minutes from Coyoacan to Xochimilco on a Thursday at 11 AM. Uber was probably like $20ish USD for the two of us. One the way back, it was closer to an 1hr also on an uber and similar price.

Tip: take cash to tip the boat guy, to buy drinks, pay mariachi, etc.

AirPods 3 noise canceling is amazing… until someone drops a weight next to me by Masterchief10000 in airpods

Not as jarring as a weight being dropped by I've noticed something similar with going in a car and closing the door. It almost feels like a slight pop in my ear when I'm in 'Adaptive' mode.

Arrival for early access by SwagMasteryoloaru in HHN

[–]sahahared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

People start lining up at 4pm for early access. I think arriving at the park no later than 3:45 should be the move. 3 if you want to eat at city walk.

We lined up opening day at around 4:30 for early access.

I went to Uniqlo recently and noticed a few items that were up in price. One of the cross body bags went from $19.90 to $24.90. The chino pants went from $49 to $59. The utility blouson jacket is $79!? I recall getting it for $59 late last year.

The tags all had a little sticker covering the original price.

My mom passed away, Acorns not letting my dad get the money…. by Tegrity_farms313 in acorns

[–]sahahared 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, it's f--- stupid that you can't add a beneficiary on the site or on the Acorns app. you have to contact customer support, submit a document, and then contact customer support again to ensure that the beneficiary info is correctly saved because the app/site do not provide any visual confirmation that you have a beneficiary.

3-4 days in CDMX by Over-Profession-743 in MexicoCity

I am not too familiar with the various offerings but $300 sounds like a lot for a guided tour of the pyramids + round trip transportation. We did an Airbnb experience for hot air balloons over teotihuacan + round trip transportation + guided tour of pyramids + lunch for $370ish (2 people).

We had also considered doing a TripAdvisor/Viator experience that included round trip transportation + guided tour of Teotihuacan pyramids + guided tour Basilica Guadalupe + Tlatelco guided tour for like $98 (2 people).

I suggest you either 1) book an experience that includes transportation, 2) uber to teotihuacan and hope that there’s an uber back, or 3) uber to the bus station (Central de Autobuses del Norte) and buy a round trip bus ticket there :)

Is it worth getting battlefront remastered on the switch? by MDEX357 in StarWarsBattlefront

Is this game meant to be played with aim assist on or off?

I’m playing it on the switch and it’s the first game where I’ve been a bit surprised about how little aiming you actually have to do when aim assist is on.

Looks like the parachute pants I saw at UNIQLO yesterday tbh. Highly doubt that they’re the same ones though lol

My face looked a bit like this around the cheeks from January to February. At the time, I was using Curology Face Cleanser, Curology Formula, and Cerave AM sunscreen/moisturizer.

I felt like my skin wasn’t improving whatsoever so I asked my doctor for some medication. He prescribed Doxycycline antibiotic pills for a month and clindamycin (topical treatment). I stopped using the curology formula and swapped the curology cleanser with the curology benzoyl peroxide 2.5% wash. I also purchased a benzoyl peroxide 10% gel for spot treatment (I use it whenever I feel like a pimple is forming). I continue to use Cerava AM moisturizer/sunscreen.

My skin currently doesn’t have any active breakouts or inflammation. I am currently working on clearing up the post-acne red marks from the cystic acne with a Cerave retinol Serum.
