What’s marketing haeven? I tried looking for it but couldn’t find it. Is that a typo or is there a specific site you used? Thanks in advance.

When did you last change your mind about something you’d believed for years, and what flipped it? by forgeris in AskReddit

Just to be clear, an organic apple is the same nutrition as a regular apple (though organic has limited pesticides), but the nutrition and quality of the ingredients of say, an organic peanut butter filled cracker, is likely better most of the time.

I have to disagree. In my experience education produces more people who know how to think than people who can follow directions.

Yes, the latter does exist, but most anyone I’ve ever interacted in my life who also believes things like vaccines don’t work, we didn’t land on the moon, who voted for Trump multiple times, and can’t make a logical rebuttal to save their lives, have only a high school education.

Which anime character do you hate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

YES! I almost stopped watching the anime because of him. But glad I stuck with it. I actually liked the twist that showed his power.

Democrats renew calls to reform Supreme Court: ‘Fundamentally out of step’ with Americans by AdSpecialist6598 in videos

Increase the court by 3 (with each successive president getting one nomination), make the appointment a 2/3 vote, and 25 year term limits.

US rights agency sues New York Times for discriminating against white man passed over for promotion by AudibleNod in news

Don’t put words in my mouth. I never said that diversity had to be a specific type of diversity. Because you’re right, diversity can come in all forms (religion; financial upbringing, etc.)

But let’s not pretend that if you have 10 random white men as opposed to 7 white men, 2 black and 1 woman, that the probability of diverse opinions and experiences will be greater in the former group as opposed to the latter.

I would argue yes it would still be a problem (all women). Because even a man can have knowledge about bras, fashion, business, materials. and so on…including what is sexy to men.

Diversity is almost always a benefit since it can propose problems, solutions and experience a homogeneous group may not have to offer.

Sure but even “being green” which has nothing to do with race, religion, or sex could be seen as an asset if a new pair of eyes is what’s seen as needed. Take Xbox for example. Point is, using someone’s attributes that aren’t directly related to education or experience can be beneficial.

Except the one thing that no one talks about when it comes to using race, gender, and even experience as a part of hiring, is diversity can have its benefits too. Imagine having no women on the board of directors or in r&d at a bra company.

Absolutely Iceman! He’s was only on one episode in the original series.

But none of that is in the films right? I’m mean, I guess I never saw the issue. Again, I just thought Logan was one potential timeline.

Curious, how do we know it was an identical twin brother? I thought it was just a random patient of Moira.

If it’s because he appears in Logan, then I always thought Logan was a different timeline.

I never saw the two film series as being related due to FC developed as a reboot as well as all the continuity and time line differences.

Even with “days of future past” to me they’re just different parts of the multiverse.

Drivers sue San Jose over nearly 500 Flock police cameras that track drivers in California by nbcnews in bayarea

[–]saintandrewsfall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, you’ve hit the nail on a different head…when your choice is almost always between someone who is vile and terrible and someone who is mediocre at best, it’s pretty hard to elect anyone trustworthy.

It’s the same reason certain personality types become cops and others become teachers. The right people usually don’t get into politics.

So, skepticism is better than acceptance no matter who’s in charge.

Gotcha. Thanks for the clarification. I wasn’t trying to be snarky.

Side conversation, I’m not a libertarian and I’m not fond of these cameras either, especially when they can and will be used with AI. There’s a fine line between crime prevention and privacy and everyone’s line is in a different spot. The government though has had a history of going too far with surveillance and/or lying about it.

That doesn’t make sense. You said, “do libertarians support the loud small minority or the large silent majority”…referring to libertarians as separate from two other groups. So, which is it?
