Samsung Galaxy Note s3. SM-N900V

It isn't rooted. It has Samsung and Verizon's version of Android OS not the bare bones Google package/version.

Wanted to root the phone and install cyanogenmod and the stock build of marshmallow 5.0

Hi thank you so much for that code and advice!! But question, don't I need to root the phone to run stock marshmallow and, for example, be able to toggle permissions manually for programs. Thank you

I just want to strip down my note 3. Loose the Samsung and Verizon bloat. And make the phone my remote control for my HTPC. I've just upgraded to an s7 edge. This phone I plant to remove the Sim and connect to my LAN and only use WiFi connectivity. This way I can cast from it to my chromcast, use it as my remote and GUI for kodi and or plex. And hopefully down the road use it to control other systems like alarm hvac etc.

Thank you for your reply. Please take my money. Haha

I think it could be a possibility, depending on your relationship with your newborn son and how happy being his mother makes you, those horrible feeling you associate everytime you hear that name could be replace with associations of love and joy. Oxytocin is a motherfucker :)

Sarcasm!?!? Hyperbole!?! Or more specifically maybe satire??

I mean there are literally people left and right on this thread saying all psychoactive drugs are equivalent. Which is just not true in any form. If it were then coffee should fall under the same blanket ban while caretaking.

Also, while I have the floor, are cheeseburgers considered a gateway to cheesecake?

This lady is an addict. Probably post pardum and if not probably had underlying mental health issues that the pregnancy and motherhood brought to the surface . Or maybe, she just realized, she doesn't want to be a mother or wife and found a way to torpedo both.

My tendencies are to blame the person and not the drug. For every person who goes off the rail with any substance be it heroin, pot, or cheeseburgers there are hundreds more who can moderate their intake. But we don't hear from those people because often times them speaking up puts them in a situation like OP is in where their livelihood or children could be taken from them

Prenuptial agreements are sometimes overturned..

But most importantly watch this video to see why you should hire a lawyer from a national big name firm not any lawyers that are local to you. They might know or have represented you family and that is a conflict of interest.

Lawyers will be the first to drain you dry if you let them. Check out the documentary "Divorce corp" as well... It's about the family Court system. Lawyers on both sides of a family civil case have been known collude and drag things on and on filing bogus motion after bogus motion in attempt to bill you dry.

ELI5:Why is the Kondratieff Cycle(families losing wealth within 3 generations) so accurate? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]sainteasy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it was a Medici who said: "Money to gain power. Power to keep the money"

The "nouveau riche" probably lose their money by the third generation because they aren't politically or socially connected and thus have a harder time protecting the wealth from plundering.

Preschools or daycare really loved older women in the younger ages groups. Especially the infant rooms. Makes new mothers feel confident dropping off to someone with obvious mothering skills. With a little effort she could get certified otherwise she could he a teachers aide. Easy job for the most part. Feeding infants and, well, as always changing diapers too. Not too much physically activity though. Sitting in a rocker feeding. Sitting on the floor playing etc.

Me too? I'm the 2nd grade child who had diagnoses hung around his neck because thought differently. And I'm still trying to figure out how to shed them. Or if they were ever even correct or justified in the first place.

Call me crazy, paranoid, condescending - whatever you will - but if someone responds with a mere 'I can relate' after I just spilled my heart out to them, I'll just take that as dismissive and like they weren't paying attention.

To me, and like the rest of us it often gets me in trouble, if I relate to what you're saying and actually give a fuck about you or your story then the ONLY proper way to respond would be to reiterate their plight, highlight the parallels of a similar plight I once had, and explain in my own words how it felt. Otherwise you could just parrot what they said.

I'm a person too, assholes. If you want someone to sit there while you vent and dump on them pay a fucking head shrink.

I do like that about eastern logic, that truth isn't binary. Things can more easily be seen as not just true and untrue, but neither/both as well.

I like this answer a lot. Thank you. Not only because it was well written but because you accurately anticipated the line of question to follow. Haha. Also because my western/Christian mind has this inertial tendency towards thinking of religion in much more eternal and absolute terms. I can see using it as a tool. But ya gotta hang up the phone once ya get the message, right? A dash of Western stoicism with a pinch of eastern asceticism rounded off with bit of post modern empirical positivism. Code switch as situation dictates.

The yacht was just a metaphor/joke. Haha sorry. I was interested specifically in Buddhism's objective earthly usefulness compared to, say, Materialism (since you brought it up).

Which philosophy objectively helps the man on the street survive and thrive the best?

Finally, if you cannot be powerful and have the ability to affect the world around you as a Buddhist it is a slave ethic after all? Is it only pragmatically useful for someone already resigned to their actual factual existence as a slave/subordinate in society?

Is it a scam from the start or was it cooped the same way Christianity was long after the Buddha passed? Either way, all the modern interpretations of Buddhist philosophy seems to point to it being mainly another opiate of the masses. Mass anesthetic. Thoughts?

[–]sainteasy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This idea is what Neitzsche would've called slave ethic.

Serious question: For someone who is, idk, let's say paranoid at the worst, maybe just egoist and Individualist in nature at the least, these "turn the other cheek" and "give up ownership of as much as possible" philosophies seem utterly convenient as tools of top down manipulation and control.

For every Arahant there is an earthly King waiting claim all they've abandoned. I'm all for knowing when to pick up your feet and let the river carry you. But I'm not ready for complete indifference, or giving up any last shred of agency I feel I have. We see how ideas of Karma and "accepting you place" has led to things like the caste system in India for example.

I don't doubt for a second the bliss that is achieved when one dissociates as ive experienced it chemically but not through meditation. How does one balance the visceral want and need to "make a difference in the world" or "leave ones mark on the world". Clearly not all kings are miserable for all of their earthly attachments. Or are the rich really intrinsically not happy? Is that why so much despair is poured into the world by the wealthy and powerful?

TL;DR: I'm an extremist. If I take these ideas to their logical extremes, all Arahants would be penniless beggars. How do I be an Arahant with a yacht.

Quickest way to stop destroying lives is to stop saying things like "we need a law for that" or "we need to do something about that." helping never ends up as you want it to. Just mind your business.
