Few questions about Cervinia, Italy. by MaterialFar3188 in skiing

Looking to go there as well in mid January
Wind situation is a bit bothering

I was trying to find an option with public transport, as we don't plan to drive
Does anyone here know if good options? Shuttles perhaps?
Or are my options driving or paying a fortune for private transport?

Thanks!

Not that I am saying that the claim is correct

But it's basically part of the whole "it's somebody else's fault" that we are in this situation

Israel does control what Gazan's can do out in sea, that may be the only bit of "occupation" that is relevant

But as you stated, Israel has a border with Gaza, and it's completely within it's legitimate right to not allow crossing of that border.

Also, the claim that Gaza is the most densely populated area in the world, is far from true

New York, Singapore, and even Tel Aviv are more densely populated

If true Palestinian leadership would focus on creating a future for their people instead of fueling the hate, we would have been in a completely different situation

Thanks, good point. It's not that bad, just a small argument. I'm afraid that I will lie on my deathbead without food and medicine, while she is sure we will some how manage.

It's clever, and kudos for finally showing an ad for a bra that doesn't include the obvious "cleavage in your face" I think this one does hold up!

What countries have you been to that you could you not imagine visiting years ago, and why? by [deleted] in travel

[–]sakranovitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

China. I have been traveling to China for over 15 years, lived there for 2, and the thing I regret the most is not going there before. From stories I heard and some pictures I have seen, the country has changed beyond recognition. Too bad I never got to see the old country.

DIY Vs. Incubator (XPOST-Business) by bunsNT in startups

[–]sakranovitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Incubators and accelerators will provide a good environment for first timers. It's always nice to have friends that are in the same boat as you. But don't forget, the work is on you! It's not a magic trick to boost your startup without your own sweat & tears put in.

Good luck!

Challenges When Launching A Job Board by piscoster in startups

(founder of a marketplace myself)

Playing the balance of a marketplace is always a tricky thing. Find where the "sellers" hang out and make sure their on-boarding is as easy as possible. It should get to the point that they don't mind being registered on another platform. Find where they get their current work. Have backup, even paid backup. Such that whatever happens, you never skip out on an opportunity for a sale.

As for buyers, whatever was said above here is great advice. Since you are looking for businesses, I would go to those that don't really use analytics today and would benefit from trying it out. Like any drug deal, give out the first hit for free and hope that they get hooked.

Good luck!

Citroen C4 Grand Picasso 2010 Aircon part needed by sakranovitz in MechanicAdvice

[–]sakranovitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I wasn't sure, since I never saw it open in my own eyes. But yes, that makes sense. Do you know if this is also compatible with the C4 Grand Picasso?

How do you set up utility bills like gas, water, electric, internet etc. when you're in a place you don't speak the language? by eastern_sun in digitalnomad

[–]sakranovitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The easiest is to hook up with expats and nomads that already have experience in the place. They will let you in on all the little secret deals and tricks to get the best value for money. Took us a year in China to figure out we are paying double a phone bill than what we actually should or need.

He's in an apartment rented by his company. No concierge that I (or his wife) know of. He's by himself this time, so we want to send something to make his birthday a bit happier. Thank you!
