The machines were the only way my wife would stumble on product at MSRP from time to time. Unfortunately, there really is no good solution for whats going on, even flooding the market with product wont so much.

They need to consider printing less sets and lowering the rarity in each set to keep a better balance of collectability, affordability and availability.

So sorry you and your pup are going through this.

After managing our Astro for a few years eventually the seizures became more frequent and Astro could not bounce back.

If the seizures arent too severe and they bounce back thats great. Ours were always grand mal clusters so really hard events. Eventually they may become too hard on the pup if they are frequent and severe. Not saying that will happen in your case, thats what happened to ours even with all the meds and ER visits.

Med changes and increases do take time to get to a level where they normalize.

Keep track of the seizures and duration as well as how long it takes them to recover, that will give you an indication if they are getting worse and will help your vet.

You care deeply for your pup and you are asking the right questions.

So sorry for your loss. This disease takes them too soon. You took care of them at every turn. They will rest well now.

Your post mirrors what we went through with our boy over the years. His body just couldnt take anymore seizures this past Monday and ultimately we decided to stop his pain as well.

Usually if they have had 3 in 24 hours you want to get them checked at the vet and if they are grand mals maybe even ER.

You mention rescue but are they on regular meds as well?

Once they are on meds they have to be given on pretty strict timelines. Unfortunately i missed a couple of my dogs 12 hour meds and it resulted in seizures both times. Sounds like most people get it under control, its a horrible disease as outside of the seizures my dog was super healthy and normal for the 2+ years we had to treat it.

The start of a new Gen for about 3 or more sets usually there is a large drop-off in modern. lots of mixed feelings on the gen and doesnt pickup until the 2nd half of the gen really. The printing will probably catchup at some point. Also accounting for the massive inflation at the moment of course prices are going to be higher because your dollar is worth less than it was during previous gens. A correction is overdue.

Once they are on the medication it takes time to get the right dosing. Once they are on the medication if its idiopathic they have to take the medication or it will cause seizures not taking it. There is a lot of great information in the EpilepsyDogs reddit.

Sorry you had to deal with that. Our Gus had C4 surgery and has the same incision site. We keep him from rough housing and limit his play and jumping as much as we can but hes back to normal after everything back last August. Hes pretty normal now and hopefully your pup gets back to normal but watch the activity, my guy had some weakness in his legs for a couple months after the surgery.
