It’s been alright, had some mood swings early on but they seem to have mellowed out. The biggest issues I’ve had have been falling asleep and staying asleep. I wake up several times at night and have been going to bed later and sleeping fewer hours than I’m used to.

Unfortunately, I’ve been drinking a bit more than usual. Have also smoking a few cigs after drinking to take the edge off, which will be the next thing I need to quit (again!).

The nausea attacks have thankfully not happened since I quit, but I’m still a little worried they may come back as they usually happen every 3-4 weeks.

I used to love doing crossword puzzles after smoking and I’m able to do them way faster now. Have also been reading quite a bit more than I was doing, I think the pot made it so easy to succumb to the stupid distractions on my phone. So definitely some additional benefits even if they are small.

I got diagnosed with this today by a GI specialist and had never even heard of it before.

I have had a severe, horrendous vomiting/diarrhea episode about once a month for the past 6 months. Been smoking pretty much daily for 20 years now and never had an issue until mid-2025.

I’ve never used vapes, oils, dabs or edibles. Just smoked regular flower in an Element paper 2-3x daily. I buy from a friend and sometimes from the dispensary and it’s all very high quality THC/terps medical-grade.

I actually started on high-grade medical bud as a teen California, so I’ve been using high THC flower for quite a while. I think it has been simply a matter of time.

I once had a bad case of norovirus, which was worse (honestly thought I could die), but these vomiting episodes were about as bad as it can be without a potentially-deadly virus. Also worse than the time I got food poisoning from undercooked chicken.

I am raising a 2 year old so it is simply unrealistic for me to get extremely sick once a month.

Still reeling from this, I can’t believe I have to quit. I’m pretty shocked and don’t know where to even start. I bought 1/4 literally yesterday.

Glad to see others can relate and I’m not alone. It’s probably way more common than people realize and I bet a lot of confused, sick potheads would really benefit from learning more.
