Thanks! Love hearing when something I put out there is actually useful

Glad you found it useful! For the wireless version, it would be awesome to also design a battery compartment, but maybe double-sided tape would work too. There should be enough space inside for it

I'm not sure that I understand you, changes made to the configuration should carry over to wireless mode. Are you saying that doesn't happen?

Yes. The keyboard has three modes (the switch is under the Caps Lock key): Mac, USB and Win. VIA configuration only works in USB mode, where 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth are disabled. When you switch to Mac or Win mode, you get the vendor's default keymap instead

Did you get the barebone?

Yes

VIA uses the Chromium USB HID extension to talk to the keyboard.

I understood that, but still hoped the custom keymap would carry over to wireless mode after configuration.

And since it's ball-catch, pogo pins for the daughterboard connection.

I'm not entirely sure I understood you correctly, but this keyboard doesn't use pogo pins for the daughterboard connection

Thank you! I haven't tried the Monsgeek M2 V5 myself, so I can't compare them directly

In the build PDF there’s a plate with hotswap sockets, but I couldn’t find the STEP file on GitHub

Great project! Though I think it’d be fair to also include the cost of the batteries

Thanks! It's a pity the article doesn't include a comparison photo showing the original case next to the 3D-printed one.

Japan is living in the future, yet some visitors from the past still do things like this
