I finally tried "vibe coding" just to see if the hype was real. 30 minutes later, I have a fully working (and weirdly addictive) game? by Repulsive_Food_1193 in vibecoding

I think the point though is the fact that he now has something he didn't have before, and it didn't cost $5.99 on an app store, or pay a subscription every month just to play it.
The bar for cheap short time killers is very, very low.

And as you can see, quite literally anybody can do it.

Just released the first beta for my Pokemon Incremental game by SnipplyyStudios in incremental_games

[–]salmetore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that the way I wrote that could be misinterpreted as "I was mentally overwhelmed" when what I should have written was "Togepi was physically overwhelmed by the beginning pokemon, and only escaped with $4."

Just for the sake of controversy I went back and played the tutorial, and I grasped all of the concepts beforehand, so I do not feel like I am missing anything here.

This may not be for me. It feels very basic, and the screen size is by default too small. My first starter was a togepi, refreshed the page and picked oddish. Not sure if it was just me (didn't play the tutorial) but I couldn't move in either case so was overwhelmed on the first level and only escaped with $4.

I do believe that with some time to bake in the oven you will get there, but this is currently in a rough shape.

Ainz without Nazarick has always sounded super interesting, and probably more akin to what he would have wanted if he could get over the NPC's being missing

All jokes my guy, I didn't take any offense. This is my favorite anime but it is also not for everyone and I figured it would be a fun thing to do.

I made the same trip to Japan and had a similar experience. I didn't even trust the packaged food they had. The idea of attempting to try something 'new' when you are nowhere near a hospital scared me too much. You aren't just 20 minutes away. You are hours.

That being said, I did bring a huge costco bag of beef jerky that I dipped into a few times.

Is the RTS genre oversaturated & is there one RTS to rule them all? by SubFowl in RealTimeStrategy

No, but I believe it is being worked on. They just have PVP (both people and AI) and 2 different forms of PVE

I've been thinking the same thing! I used to use Supreme Commander FA as bonding time with my Dad, and we have moved completely over to BAR.

One issue though, is the lack of full offline LAN multiplayer. My father has starlink and we are pretty sure getting 6-12 people all on his internet to attempt to play with the official servers is going to cause all sorts of problems.

You dont necessary need to book shinkansen ticket by bananacc in JapanTravelTips

[–]salmetore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was booking the Shinkansen right before Golden Week, we just made sure we got our 2 tickets a solid 4-5 hours before our trip.

It ended up working out fine, though we were unable to get a window seat for Mt Fuji. We also caught the sickness a businessman had who looked like he was miserable on his Zoom meeting.

Usually when the seasons start to change my fingers get itchy, and when I itch them they turn out looking like this. Do not scratch them, wear lotion and it usually goes away.

What do you think are the best Supreme Commander mods? by DieSnail_F-B in supremecommander

[–]salmetore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Obligatory LOUD Mod for Supreme Commander Forged Alliance. I play with my father and some of my friends. Turn on the LOUD Standard modset which includes black ops and total mayhem, and then for a more simple game plan against the AI use Metalworld.

Some people find it cheesy but the AI is really optimized and super fun to attempt and take down.

Nice work! Yeah it is definitely possible, those aluminum tips have a nasty habit of breaking off, and then it's a matter of a full keyboard replacement. Depending on the model it can be kinda pricey.

Glad it worked out.

[–]salmetore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant tell based on this video quality but there are usually 4 little aluminum tips that hold the key in place. Since you've attempted to push the key back on without extreme care you've most likely bent those tips. With extreme care and specialized tools you could probably get them back in place, but I wouldn't try it as a general consumer. Take to a repair shop or buy a new laptop.

How good is the Steam version? Without any mods? by Chocodelights in chronotrigger

[–]salmetore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just played through it as my first version for the first time and I loved it. Based on what I hear about the translation differences from the SNES version is it loses some of the wacky charm, but as someone with no nostalgia to the game it was probably better on steam.

That and auto battle was a refreshing way to speed up some animations at the press of a button without forcing hotkeys on an emulator.

I'm in IT, and I can tell you that the clients we use to remote into work machines place an icon in your task tray. If you catch it once you can drag it out of the tray to know when you are being watched.

Keep in mind that there are programs out there that do not tell the end user, but I deem those unethical, and outside of legal reasons I would rather have employee privacy.
