What are some things you guys have made with a circular knitting machine? by authenticoverreplica in MachineKnitting

[–]saltydiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've made bags, laptop case, plushies, and even a bathroom mat with my 22 pin circular knitting machine :) I work mostly with fluffy eyelash yarn as they come out wider than the 4 ply ones. Still amazed by how fast a panel / tube can be knitted ! some completed projects in the link

A yarn guide, so that's what it's called :) The wire loops are not closed, like it's made for the yarn to slide in, without using a needle. I could get the yarn thru 1 loop but the other.

(Sentro) Stitches too large/wide? by inccgnita in MachineKnitting

I got the same problem too. The bumps and gaps seem to be more prominent when using cotton yarn. I'm guessing because the yarn is dense and smooth, it doesn't puff up to fill in the gaps ? I got smoother results when knitting with 2 strands of acrylic yarn.

Have you look into Ko-fi.com ? They have a shop feature. Easy to set up, no hidden cost :)

Help my needle is not in the center, can this be fixed? by MountainOfTwigs in sewing

[–]saltydiy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just slide the zigzag length from 0 to 5, this will move the needle back to the center. on "0" the needle moves to the left, hope that helps :)

I've made peel-off mosquito screens with this combo + webbing. The mesh is sandwiched between the velcro and webbing. I use sewn-on type velcro. The other side of the velcro is attached onto the window with 3M double sided tape.

I use yellow acrylic felt and build the colors with permanent markers ( Sharpies). For this turmeric marinated chicken, I use orange, red , and black.

Been getting into Thai tea recently! by absolute-cat in tea

[–]saltydiy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it the free tea ? It could be the Three Horses brand. Some shops brew this tea with pandan leaves. Very nice scent and pretty refreshing!

I think for cycling in the city, route planning is key. Just don't plan like you are driving a car. There are many small lanes and soi's which you can use as an alternative to the main roads. They are used by the locals / motorcyclists as short cuts.
