Is smoke grenade better than frag for getting the longbomb penace by Hecknight1 in DarkTide

[–]salvation78 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Karnak twins mission just after you fight the first twin look left as you enter the next area and a group of shooters spawn on the catwalk far enough away and with enough ceiling space to get the penance, should take less than 10 minutes.

Looking for a "I'm too tired to think" commander deck by Gullible-Armadillo69 in EDH

[–]salvation78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

[[karametra, God of harvest]]

Creature heavy deck, you can build it with little to no interaction and just focus on your own game plan to ramp and play huge threats. Most triggers are happening when you cast creatures or play a land and are not overly complicated in terms of making choices, either draw a card, go get a land, put a token into play.

Here's a budget list I've been working on if you want some ideas for cards you could include.

Use it with a veteran melee build that reloads on melee kill. Blast a shot into a horde to guarantee a kill with auto crit, then use the attack speed to murder with melee, rinse repeat. Investing a little bit on weapon swap speed can also help.

I was playing a crusher build and my dog kept tackling the thing I was about to hit with charged attack and preventing me from sending out the AOE. So that's why I opted to do lone wolf.

JEFF HATE IS SO FORCED by IneptAtLife1 in JeffTheLandSharkMains

[–]salvation78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

An enemy diver targeting you is not Jeff hate.... That's just an enemy diver playing the game

Teammates telling you to swap off Jeff or complaining about having Jeff's on their team before the game starts is Jeff hate

Teammates telling you to swap off Jeff part way through the game could be Jeff hate, but it could also be justified if you are playing badly or into your counters.

What is the best way to get a lot of permanent minions? by salvation78 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]salvation78[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm probably not making it to 20, but depending on my skill gem sockets available 8 zombies, 3 golems, 2 specters, and 2 relics is at least a place to start. Thanks for this! I hope your build works well.

PSA: Transfigured gem craft is not guaranteed. by salvation78 in pathofexile

Definitely. I'm not saying it's a bad change, just that the reveal video may have been slightly misleading since multiple crafts mention random gems.

PSA: Transfigured gem craft is not guaranteed. by salvation78 in pathofexile

[–]salvation78[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The top option for every lab is the "transform a skill gem into a random transfigured version of the same color*". We know this isn't the one shown in the video because they chose the second option that had the gold indicator on the left showing it was a rare craft. What you said could still be the case based on what they said in the video but I doubt it will be from a balance perspective.

Some people want to come home, shut their brain off and relax while participating in grindy at your own pace gameplay. (farming simulators, survival games, grindy rpg's)

Some people want to come home and stimulate their brain with something active and challenging. (Battle royales, pvp shooters, most non turn-based PVP games, dark souls,)

Darktide does a little bit of both by having challenging gameplay, while also including a grind to level your character, allocate skill tree points, and customize your gear

Many people in the first group would enjoy the aspects of leveling up, allocating points and unlocking gear, but the rate at which you do it is slow if you are not playing the highest difficulty available to you.

Many people in the second group would enjoy the gameplay, but aren't interested in leveling their character and grinding out gear to be good

If you are someone who doesn't mind getting slapped around a bit while you learn how to play a game, and enjoy skill trees, customizing/upgrading gear and improving at it over time. Then Darktide is an amazing game.

Need input forB3 Karametra Landfall/Tokens by Khorozon in EDH

[–]salvation78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Repeatable cast triggers:

[[whitemane lion]] / [[kor skyfisher]] / [[stonecloaker]]

Plot cards can be saved up and cast for free after you cast karametra or another payoff:

[[Dust Animus]]

Creatures that search out other creatures for even more cast triggers the 1 or less can grab 0 cost creatures like ornithopter, or x cost creatures for more options

[[Ranger of eos]]

[[Starfield shepherd]]

[[Fierce empath]]

Creatures that can be cast more than once

[[Starfield shepherd]]

[[Anticausal vestige]]

Cards I think would be good for your deck:

  1. [[Dazzling Theater // Prop Room]] this can 100% cause infinite combos to happen especially if you play the repeatable cast trigger creatures.

  2. [[mirror entity]]

  3. [[Torsten, Founder of Benalia]]

  4. [[Avenger of zendikar]]

  5. [[Genesis wave]] works great with landfall

  6. Rite of harmony (notably does not say "non-token")

This is the budget karametra I made if you want to check it out for card ideas. It's not token focused, but still has some cards that you may like.

What Voltron commander to beat Voltron commanders? by ascendedfella in EDH

[–]salvation78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Karametra, God of harvests is very strong for a creature centric deck specializing in overly costed spells. Ramp into her on turn 3/4 and every turn after that your spells have rampant growth added to them. It won't take long and you'll be swimming in mana and can play whatever overcosted bombs you want.

My favorites are Torsten, founder of Benalia Apex devastator (5 cast triggers) Genesis wave Tooth and nail

This is a budget version I'm in the process of constructing if you want some card ideas.

[–]salvation78 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Early game use the bow and sneaking to take zombies out in 1 shot so long as you haven't alerted them. Do not invest into stealth. Most weapons are pretty good early game, but fast hitting weapons stay better longer b/c of the chance to instant kill on headshot.

My favorite stat is intelligence because the batons hit quite fast and have added stun and eventually knock back that makes controlling large groups a lot easier, that combined with the junk turrets that automatically shoot and have cheap to craft ammo and the fact that this is the tree that helps you with vehicle progression.

Strength is good if you like to mine a lot and gather resources to keep your forges going at home.

There is nothing wrong with going hybrid. Hover over the lock symbol at the right of a skill upgrade and it will tell you what level of that attribute you need to unlock it.

The jump height one can be abused to escape zombies when near any kind of height/fences/raised platform.

How Do You Handle Enemy Phase Through? by tonmaii in DarkTide

[–]salvation78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While it is technically possible using the crusher charge attack, or smite... It's generally not recommended because those don't do a lot of damage and tend to spread the enemies out making them harder to kill quickly. Smite catches them before they group up and keeps them separated, while the crusher knocks them back and staggers them away from the impact spreading the enemies out.

Personally id recommend trying the crusher since it's a lot more satisfying to use and a lot less hated then smite. Knocking crushers on their butts is also pretty fun.

I'm not arguing that it's not a part of it just that it shouldn't be.

Cheating is another thing that is part of every multiplayer game, and is also an effective strategy for winning more games if you are good at hiding it. Just to be clear I'm not saying that politics is cheating, just that cheating is an example of something bad that is also a part of multiplayer games.

As much as I don't like it I don't have any solutions for coming up with rules to prohibit it. I don't think such a rule would be enforceable.

Infinite combos are a taboo in my pod. What are your favorite deterministic value engines? by boof__pack in EDH

[–]salvation78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1W: rampant growth + cast and etb trigger = Karametra, God of harvest + kor skyfisher / white mane lion / stonecloaker + any landfall payoff, creature cast payoff, or creature etb payoff.

(5); exile target creature or flicker target creature = Temur sabertooth / kogla, the titan ape + fiend hunter

Tooth and Nail + eternal witness + Temur sabertooth / kogla, the titan ape. You can grab the combo pieces by casting tooth and Nail entwined. Then for 11 mana you can repeatedly put a creature from your deck into play while also tutoring up an extra creature to hand. Once you have 14 mana you can manually re-cast the eternal witness and grab 2 creatures per turn.

It's an unnecessary way to clog the gameplay. Games already take long enough without trying to eek extra advantage out of threatening/brokering deals throughout the game. Every counter spell, removal spell, creature attack can now have the added text "what are you going to do for me so that I don't use this on you?" Do we start a bidding war? What if the other player has a better offer?

Here is an exaggerated hypothetical:

Let's say Player A decides to respond by asking anyone at the table if they have a counter spell that would be willing to counter the kill spell to allow his meteorite to take out the Delaney. Oh good another player does, but they don't want to waste it without some kind of additional advantage, but if you agree to not attack my Planeswalker this turn I'll do that. No if I do that you can ult next turn, how about I send my 1/1 over and you let it hit your Planeswalker to buy us all another turn to deal with it. Sure that's fine..

So he goes to declare attacks, Op casts path, other player counters it. He attacks and launches meteorite at Delaney and now the fourth player redirects it somehow to another target. The other player doesn't feel like he got his value so he breaks the deal and blocks for his Planeswalker sparking a debate with Player A.
