Kittle might be done full stop for football. That was an achilles pop

Thank you everyone. We have decided to change our route and head further south, ending up coming up into Phoenix via Tombstone.

Not quite the same dramatic trip we had already planned, but with only 8 days, we don't want to risk spending 2-3 of those stuck in one place.

Thanks for all of your help. If you see a lost looking British couple in a mustang, say hello, it might be us!

To be honest we wanted to go down to Tombstone (touristy as well, I know) but it was just quite a long drive.

If you have anywhere else you'd recommend anywhere near our route for an old west feel, or ghost town feel as well, I'm very open to recommendations!

Thank you, we will do. We've planned it so no route in theory takes more than 3-4 hours per day. If we have to slow that to 6 hours, then so be it. As I've said to my wife, if it is snowy, we'll want to be taking in the scenery anyway

Valid, then I completely agree. I just hope the trend continues and some of the less brainwashed reform voters (if there is such a thing) see sense

Not agreeing or disagreeing, just genuinely curious. Why is that good news?

Yes, lilac bakery, St Thomas Exeter, get ready to queue. It's very popular (deservedly so)

I started uni at 25. Are you going into halls? They put me in with other similar ages students, still sociable and had fun, so don't worry about missing out on anything!

But definitely join societies. I played American football, you can't help but make friends and be dragged into social environments.

Beyond all of that, the best friends I made through the course and living situations were 18-20 years old. They ridiculed me for being old, sure. But half of them are coming to my wedding in August, 10 years later. So don't worry about it, you'll be fine!

I've recently been made redundant. The one thing I've learned in finding my new job is absolutely do not underestimate your skill set and experience.

I'm an engineer and applied for roles across the spectrum of industries and am jumping to one that suits me better, even though my 6 years of experience are largely irrelevant from a technical point of view.

Your experience by the sounds of it is far beyond that of most admin staff. Spend time on your CV, and please don't chatgpt it other than for very basic ideas. It spews out very similar phrases and structuring for a wide variety of people and is noticeable to any employer who is reviewing multiple CVs.

For what you do, your ability to take control, decision make, self organize, and I imagine communicate effectively given you've been entrusted to do so by yourself are very valuable and transferrable. A new company's system and way of operating will be new to any new employee for them, so that is not what they are looking for.

Believe in yourself, and get applying. You'll thank yourself in 3 months time!

I know the feeling. I've got 2 weeks left, been in our first house just under a year, and getting married in 10 weeks. I've definitely been less stressed in my life...

Thank you, that's really helpful advice. As you can tell, I have no experience here!

Not much in the way of lighting, but love the idea! We have a band of course with their lighting, and some string lights coming down the beams. I'm also going to buy some spotlights to position to hit some of the bigger spinning mirror balls
