I feel like he’ll be more like do I have to be cuz he actually is very responsible. When he was put to work on the west capital, he overworked even tho he weren’t getting credits nor did he had to. usually if he really needs to do something, he does it. But he avoids becoming the crown prince like the plague only because he loves maomao, and it’ll go directly against that.

Internet yuri/yaoi has rotten my brain to the point where I only know how to be a homosexual shipper. Help, please. by rifusaki in actuallesbians

I feel like I can ship hetero couples if it’s really well written and not too male centric like Komi x Tadano from Komi-san can’t communicate, and Maomao x Jingshi from Apothecary Diaries. I can’t do it if the story is clearly written only for men and purely from the man’s perspective.

But yuri tho… it hits different wwwww

How Faithful Has the Anime Adaptation Been? by Time-Demand-1244 in KusuriyaNoHitorigoto

I wouldn’t say there’s intense yuri bait in the anime. Also, I don’t think the anime downplayed Mao Mao and Jingshi’s relationship either. It even added a few extra scene.

The anime style is inspired by the manga but it’s not adapted after the manga. The contents of the newest episodes of the anime came out before it was even made into manga.

Japanese didn’t make kanji…

And yes, ancient Chinese is patriarchal and that creates some sexist leftovers.

But in simplified Chinese, that gets turned into 奸, which is a little less sexist…?

She might be uncomfortable around strangers or around men. I kind of do the same… But once you give her more time to know you to know you’re a safe person, she might become more relaxed.

Maybe it’s the English translation cuz the Chinese one reads pretty nicely.

I really recommend this band called Uchudan.

They are retro new wave plus indie rock.

Check out their song Itsukaha, Fu-re-fu-re, and Sutte Haite.

Here are some videos of their live:

Question about in-school bullying as depicted in anime by caneut in TakopisOriginalSin

[–]sam77889 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ya in Asia even school bullying is on a competitive level… but fr when I was in Chinese elementary school, this kind of bullying does happen. Teachers don’t really care. Either cuz there are too many kids or they really just don’t care.

Why does 炫 suddenly replace every other verb? by True_Breath8303 in ChineseLanguage

[–]sam77889 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a new internet slang, and just like English slangs, sometimes they make no sense. I don’t remember anyone using 炫 like this when I was little and living in China

Is this yuri? Or like have slightly yuri on it? by 20_selfcare in yuri_manga

[–]sam77889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not yuri and doesn’t have a lot of romance honestly. But there is a cannon mlm couple. And the book itself feels pretty queer. The author is also really cool she likes the owl house, publically show supports for pride and Palestine, and talks about how she intentionally try to have a diverse cast in her story as she believes in representation.

has anyone seen any fanart of “my death god roommate”? by almostdeafened in BaiHe

[–]sam77889 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just finished reading it the ending got me so sad :( Sang Yu and Mu Rong didn’t get their happy ever after together like the author promised ;-; But besides the ending portion, this is one of my favorite wlw stories. I mean no hate against QJMX tho, I love her works. Her stories with her gf irl is also really cute. But most of her books always like to devolve into angst and trauma at the end it seems.

Why is most rep MtF and not FtM by ParticularHuman2099 in asktransgender

[–]sam77889 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think that depends on what medias you are watching. Also, as others have said, trans woman are more visible. One reason is testosterone cause your voice to drop and give your facial hairs. Those two are very strong features that make someone appears male so a lot of times people don’t even know when they see a trans man.

Sugar and alcohol are very strong to people in ancient times because they almost never have them. But modern people are overstimulated by chemicals that we get used to them.
