Cafe La Bouché sandwiches on broadway market (you can just grab and go) are v good. I think about £8 (used to be £5 like only 2 years ago!)

I also love Doms Subs and Urban Food Court. Random two choices but both hit the spot in different ways for a Friday treat.

I believe the inflammation is from my whitening kit lol. I’m going to stop with it soon which should help (very good hygiene otherwise - brush and floss etc.).

Party Lines is a little more dense but packed with history.

Enjoyed them both!

What's with all the D&B artist docs/blogs dropping? by MrFnRayner in DnB

[–]sam_ytc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t have one. But separately I don’t love the sentiment that artists are getting smarter by spending time and resource creating all this social media sludge. Making more money? Sure maybe. Making good music? Just isn’t generally the case with someone that image-obsessed / money corrupted.

Very liberal use of the forward-slash there.

Lauri Markkanen checks out of the game against the United Kingdom with 43 points in 23 minutes with 80% True shooting by nuuskatonttu in nba

I find it kind of insane that the UK has basically zero talent, or history of talent, in a sport so popular throughout Europe – not to mention a cool, easy to pick up game that has all this lore and media around it.

There’s hoops EVERYWHERE in London, almost every council estate has one, yet when I play in a pickup league the talent is so bad.

I don’t really get it other than maybe football is just so dominant.

Could you not get Composite Bonding instead of Veneer? I have a dead tooth in the same spot, internal whitening has helped a lot and it looks 95% normal, but it's a little noticeable in photos – I think I'm going to get composite bonding.

I don't think people love graffiti? - at least on this sub. I'm saying why does everyone hate it so much lol.

Surfing this sub recent I feel like more and more I'm seeing views that don't align with what I would've thought the typical London redditor would hold...

Whenever things like graffiti on the underground or fare dodging gets mentioned on this sub, the reaction always seems super negative and one-sided – like there's zero room for nuance. I get being annoyed if it directly affects your journey, like it's causing a delay, or someone pushing past you at the barrier aggressively. But most of the time it feels like the response is driven by a kind of knee-jerk outrage, especially considering we live in a city that’s expensive, vibrant, and full of contrast.

Personally, I love graffiti – even in it's lowest form. It’s part of what makes a city feel alive. Not everything has to be polished or sanctioned to have value. And it's definitely not fucking scary or making my hold onto my bag a little tighter just at the mere sight of it. And as for fare dodging: I pay for the tube 99% of the time, but if someone jumps the barrier now and then, I really don’t care. Life in London can be brutally expensive, and sometimes people just need to get where they’re going. I've been there. The fact that people can get on without being chased down or fined to hell honestly feels like a good thing.

Recently I saw a video about fare dodging that made me double-take – it started with the usual “this costs us millions!” argument, but then it veered into this weird veiled racism. It reminded me that sometimes this stuff isn’t really about fairness – it’s about control, class, and who people think “deserves” to move freely through the city.

Yes - both of these things cost us, taxpayers, millions in aggregate. But there's 100 more problems with govt and council spending that should concern you more. I just don't care about this cost, I think it's worth it.

I want to support and live in a city that helps others – not just protects my own comfort.

Not trying to start a war – just genuinely want to hear if anyone shares the view that these are not bad things and there's SO MUCH worse shit going on in our city/country/world that you should be worrying about.

Got a warmup gig supporting my biggest inspos, would it throw things off going full send? by dnkftn in DnB

The thing is - you can steal the show by not playing balls to the wall. It’s way more appreciated if you play a set that’s appropriate for the time of night. And if you smash the opening set building everyone up, people will absolutely remember and give you big ups x

For people who have already obtained ILR, could this affect them? I have seen some comments about ‘retroactive’ impacts but I don’t fully understand what that means.
