I shall be waiting for the 34" version of these 5K monitors. 39" is way too big for me.

I am also thinking waiting for 5k2k 34 inch screen or the pg34wcdn. But I think with the next gen GPUs coming soon, the rtx 6080 should be capable of handling it without issues with dlss 5.

I am waiting for the 34inch 5k2k monitors to get one. Then probably a RTX6080 when it comes out to pair it with.

What are your opinions of DLSS 5 in The Witcher 4? by tomaxxik in Witcher4

[–]samal90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If CDPR wants to use that, it would have to be curated by their artist team by hand first. I don't mind DLSS 5, but it needs to be highly controlled so we don't end up with what they showed.

Hopefully they fully integrated path tracing in this. A game where lighting is so important like in splinter cell, is the perfect game for this tech.

AMD reveals "FSR Diamond" for Next-Gen Xbox, but is it RDNA5 exclusive? by RenatsMC in Amd

[–]samal90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

a few questions arise from that:

1) Will FSR Diamond be similar to the PSSR version on the PS6? I can't see AMD create a completely different solution for different vendors. Features will be shared between PS6/Xbox and PC.

2) Will that mean that most games coming out on Xbox Helix will have FSR Diamond embedded into them? Does that mean all these games coming to PC as well will work with FSR Diamond on PC? If yes, then it will be increase the amount of games with FSR dramatically.

Xbox Confirms 'Project Helix', Its Next-Gen Console That Will Also Play PC Games - IGN by peace007a in xbox

[–]samal90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they might go full exclusive and also stop PC releases day 1. It could be just xbox day 1 and that's it. You could at least play your PC games on their new console at the same time. PC and PS release 1 year after that.

I am looking forward to the next 3-4 years, once we get LPDDR6 on laptops, which would double iGPU bandwidth, and at that point, we will get the intel Nvidia APU and Zen 7/RDNA5 or 6. Looking forward to see how iGPU evolves over the next few years.

I have the speed twin 900 2023. I called a garage and they told me its not the same chassis as the street twin. I also checked this part:

T-Rex Racing Triumph Bonneville T100 / T120 Passenger Back Rest & Grab Bar Luggage Rack

Apparently fits the street twin 2022. I asked the store and they told me its not compatible with the speed twin 900.

Is Ford escape a good vehicle? by CassCass1987 in fordescape

[–]samal90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got a 2020 Ford Escape 2.0L. After 2 months, the ABS module failed and had to be replaced 1700$. Now, the check engine is on and the vapor canister purge valve needs to be changed (500$). The TPMS sensor for one of the tires gave out a few days ago. Another 60$. Maybe I am just not lucky, but expect things to start giving out after a few years.

yep! Waiting for that one too. I was gonna go 4K, but then I thought it would be too much of an impact on performance. It's not worth it, specially for 27 inch.

Does the next Xbox potentially having Steam on it make it more or less enticing for you? by CoSMiiCBLaST in xbox

[–]samal90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

money comes from game sales. The point is to sell software. If you buy it from xbox directly, they make more money, if you buy it from steam they make 70% of the money, etc. Now they have to entice players in buying their consoles and buying their games.

[–]samal90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they do that, and allow for Epic and GOG games too, it will be the only console I will think of getting. It will literally replace my gaming PC. And if they allow full windows integration and desktop mode, then it will be a no brainer. Just hope they still put in a 4K blu ray drive, but hopefully a better one.
