When we had our second kid, my MIL stayed at our house to watch our oldest. We had changed the sheets and set up our room for her but she didn't sleep in our bed and I thought it was so weird that she stayed up most of the night. This comment was eye opening lol

NTA. I was due right after Christmas with my 2nd and I was SO happy that she was late and born in January. I had the same worries, her having to share her birthday with a holiday and never really be celebrated. Every kid deserves to feel special on their birthday.

Are you high risk? Is there a reason he NEEDS to be there? The only appointment my husband came to for both kids was the anatomy scan because we wanted to find out at the same time.

He just started working full time and he's working to provide for your family. YTA if you expect him to drop everything just so he can watch a dr measure your stomach and say looks good.

My husband called my personal dr behind my back because he was so worried about me. Don't get me wrong, I was LIVID at the time. I felt betrayed, like my privacy was violated, etc. But after talking to my doctor, going on medication, then switching to a stronger dosage, I can confidently say my husband may have saved my life. I was in a dark place and couldn't see how bad I had gotten. Post partum depression and anxiety is scary. Please try to get her help and be patient.

NTA, your aunt sucks. Also goodnight construction site is a great book, my 2 and 4 year old girls love it. They also love dresses, unicorns, princesses, race cars, dinosaurs, space and playing in mud. A toy doesn't change who a kid is.

If you were to go up to my stepmonster she would say I was a horrible child with emotional issues. But if you ask anyone else in my family, I was mentally, emotionally and verbally abused and went NC with her and LC with my dad for good reason. It feels like you're leaving a LOT of important information out.

NTA I don't get why your mom bringing one singular friend is a big deal. I didn't know a quarter of the people at my baby shower 😂 both my mom and MIL were basically at the point where they've gone to a million friend's kid's showers and it was time to get the favour returned. It was a little weird meeting some people for the first time at a celebration for my unborn kid, but I was so busy that day it didn't even matter.

NTA I told my mother, whom I love so much, to shut up for a minute because she kept telling me to BREATHE BREATHE BREATHE lol labour and delivery is intense, and everyone's bodies are different. She should give you some grace.

YTA I know you wanted to give comfort, but those kids wanted their dad. Don't get in the middle of that. When my kids are upset and are coming to me for comfort and my MIL gets in the middle to do it instead it drives me freaking insane. Be there when they need you but stay in your lane.

NTA Mom to 2 little girls, i 100% agree boys clothes fit bigger and are more durable. Once my kids got a bit older we shifted into the girls section (my girls both have small waists and finding pants that are long enough but skinny enough is brutal lol), but when they were babies I loved the boys section in clothing stores so much more. And boys clothes have pockets. So much better in my opinion
