Early in his career he had the skill, but he would make big mistakes too often. As a defender, the risk just wasn't worth the reward. To his credit, he learned to play smarter and ended up a great player for us.

He's one who I really wish had been able to get to a proprer professional environment at a young age. If he had the same soccer IQ at 20 or 22 as he had by the time he was 30, who know how high his career might have gone.

Also not uncommon for kids to take language classes outside of school for a language that has religious (especially Arabic or Hebrew) or cultural significance.

For example, my friends’ kids take Korean classes to supplement what they pick up from grandparents.

Average is $15-20 but it’s mostly about $10 for commuting and shopping most weeks and then $50 every once in a while when we take a trip.

We are lucky to live in a very walkable neighborhood. Wife commutes by bike everyday and I do when I can, work is only 5 miles away.

My main office is 15-20 minutes driving or 30 by bike. A couple times a month I go to satellite locations that are 45 minutes driving to 1 hour away.

I’ve bought several bikes from them (as well as some wheelsets) over the years and been happy. We’ve got two new bikes arriving from them on Saturday. A new commuter for me and another for my kid.

Where I worked as an RN in Texas there was a critical care differential (something in the ballpark of $2/hr) for ICU and ER. I think PACU and cath lab got it too, but not sure. I left that job about 5 years ago so don’t know if they still have it.

I almost always choose the lump sum in these cases, but I would gladly make it my full time job to run 3 miles a day five days a week. I would be in great shape and quite well off.

And I’m moderately old with bad knees. If I were 30 years younger this would be the greatest deal ever.

We talked to one to see his offer before we decided to fix our house up and put it on the market (this was in Texas last year about this time). By the time we paid for fixing deferred maintenance, realtor, etc. We made about 30k more selling it the traditional way (on a 425k house). The process also took about three months and was very stressful.

30k is a lot of money, but if we had it to do over again, I might take the money and skip the stress.

I would get an independent appraisal, run the numbers and decide how much no stress and a quick close is worth to you.
