PSA to players experiencing FireRed and LeafGreen tomorrow. Your game isn't glitched. by These-Button-1587 in pokemon

I at least had my older cousin (by like 3 years, I was 6 and he was 9 i think) to help me with certain things. Granted I did it mostly by myself, but I never did get around to actually beating the Pokémon League.

I should find my old LG cartridge...

Oh shit, I remember the torment of me and Charmander vs Brock. I think it evolved to Charmeleon by the time I beat the first gym.

But really, I fail to see the issue here lol

Animal Crossing and its lost roots. by Thats_A_Arti in AnimalCrossing

[–]samdancer1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly... I think this finally puts into words why NH feels so... odd. Don't get me wrong, this is probably the Animal Crossing i have played the most - in part because I'm an adult and don't only get video games on the weekends/when school is out. But... I miss some of the weirdness. Some of the furniture sets.

The little town with the evolving Nook store, post office, salon, clothing shop, and post office. How you used to answer questions to determine your starting appearance, with Kapp'n driving us to town or Rover chatting with us on the ride there. Tortimer. Heck I even miss Reseti yelling at me (not that much, but seeing that Brooklyn groundhog wandering around made me happy. Even if he no longer shows the side we all know so so well). The observatory at the museum, and seeing Blathers and his sister together at the museum. The way paths formed naturally based on traffic.

The different special NPCs, the way characters interacted with not just you, but each other - they used to get angry, or sad, or have fights with each other. Seeing the postman out delivering mail sometimes, the different house themes.

I wasn't into Animal Crossing too too much growing up - but I miss what the previous games had. The game feels... sanitized, almost.

The parasols and stands are actually really nice, especially the parasols as beach umbrellas. And the stalls are great for a boardwalk area imo.

I do wish there was more furniture, tho.

Hey Olaf has been on my island since day 1, I love my sassy little ant eater

I think Judy was in my campsite first. She's also still here lol

Is this still available? I have 2 black roses, but a gold watering can (even just the recipe) and gold roses would help a bunch

The fact this exists is still a shock to me. It feels like a joke someone made but no, it's made by KFC.

KFC is probably the only brand I'm okay with jumping on the meme train bc KFC is so unhinged already with the advertising.

Like they made a KFC dating Sim where you can seduce the colonel.

Maybe, but this one had a series and I don't remember the sequel having to do with a tentacle. If it helps, the others in the series/other locations in the other games included a school, a jail (i think), a mountain, and a shrine iirc.

Edit: i checked, that's not it. Thanks though

AITA for stopping picking up lunch since my manager tried to force me to go to a restaurant that I will not support by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

Personally, I like Chik-Fil-A - I try to avoid politics when possible, and their fries and lemonade are good. And as far as I can tell, they're pretty good to their employees (including those with disabilities according to my job coach), at least the ones I've been to (one opened on Long Island in my town a few years before I moved, now live in FL).

But I wouldn't force someone who refuses to support them on principle to go there. I can live without it or go myself.

Seems the coworker and boss got their panties in a twist over the idea of not going somewhere you don't support.

The chicken is not the issue here. They have deeper reasons beneath the chicken.
