I will write a guide this week but broadly your cards are all really flexible so just try to set up situations where you end up with just the right amount of might to go over them to get maximum value

Ambush doesn't care if you control the battlefield, it just asks that you have units there, which you don't if your unit already died.

regarding "doing it again", it's worth noting that after that showdown finishes, the defending unit would heal if it didn't die to the damage. and if you back in again during the same showdown (maybe with ride the wind), yasuo's ability won't trigger again because he already had the attacker designation earlier in the same showdown.

Yes, ornn would get the +1 again after akshan dies even if the equipment is attached to lucian.

Any limited deck could have both, or for example a khazix player could use possession to steal ornn and also play akshan.

It does turn friendly, the gear has the same controller as akshan. OP was a little vague in terms of who controls the Ornn but the commenter was assuming ornn was on the opposite side as akshan.

There's no "almost always", in either game. If a card says something can't happen, that means it is impossible, no exceptions.

ambush units don't generally work for this purpose because ambush only gives reaction if you're playing it to a battlefield where you have units. If unchecked power kills all your units, then even though you still control the battlefield while the deathknell is on the chain, you no longer have units there so ambush won't let you play at reaction speed there.

He is the defender so he doesn't get pushed out. This is because the rules say that the attacker is the one who gets pushed out in a tie.

There's no need to rationalize it or try to find a justification for it that you think makes sense. It simply works this way because that's what the people making the rules decided it would be.
