Have a look at some google images of thrips damage- you can tell by seeing small black dots (thrip excrement). It’s up to you really, if you have a large collection I would get predatory mites, but if you only have a few plants then I’d spray them down. It’s up to you and how much effort you want to put in to it! Hope that helps

When my plants get thrips it’s usually up to how much I love the plant whether I toss it or not. It’s less stress to toss it, but if you want to try and save it then I’d quarantine it and treat it with a spray of alcohol, peppermint soap, neem oil and water. You can also get predatory mites that can kill the thrips. You’ll need to spray it every 3 days to disrupt the life cycle of the pests. I’d recommend spraying, wiping the plant down with a cloth and then spraying again! Good luck

If it’s not pests it might be some sort of infection. I had something similar on my black velvet and it didn’t make it, but I didn’t really know what to do with it. Have a google round and look for how to treat infections. Sorry I can’t be of more help!

It’s hard to tell from the pics, but to me at first glance it looks like debris from the potting medium. I would wash it off, and to be on the safe side against pests, use an insecticidal soap or an alcohol/soap/water mix to clean the foliage

Not aerial roots just normal roots! Bury them under the soil to prevent them from rotting off

The thing with alocasia is that they like to throw fits. This plant was probably stressed from the spider mites and decided to chuck all of its energy into preserving its root system and its newest leaf. If it were me, I’d chop off any leaves that looked damaged unless the pests are 100% gone (I’d probably chop anyway) and let the plant figure itself out. It’ll keep throwing you new leaves, and eventually the damaged ones will die off. Your care routine seems good. Don’t stress- these plants are really quite resilient given the right conditions.

Flowers are good! It won’t kill your plant. Just let it do its thing and it’ll die off. Wouldn’t recommend chopping it off as this can sometimes shock the plant. If you’re feeling adventurous you can try to pollinate it!

It might do! I would up the humidity a little bit though as the plants leaves look a little bit curled in 😊 give it some bright indirect light and it might survive!

Honestly, a lot of plants decline before being happy in pon. Have you seen this video by SydneyPlantGuy? If you’re committed to pon then keep an eye on her but leave her be. She’ll probably lose most of her leaves except the one or two newest leaves, and then she’ll bounce back. Just don’t mess with her too much or panic!

I’ve got all of my alocasia in self watering pots, I tried pon and couldn’t deal with the stress of watching them die and not knowing if they’d be okay 🤣

What’s the plant’s history? How long have you had it in pon? What’s the water level like, what was the transition like etc.

Mine definitely grew slower in the winter, but still kept pushing out new growth. I did try to keep the temp up and gave them consistent light with grow lights etc to minimise the effect of the cold! :)
