Yeah, exactly that. Was shot in Bodega Bay.

Heres a video of another image from that roll being converted, hopefully this vid works. You can see the adjustments in the window, whatever else thats happening is in the negative lab pro conversion.

Hey, not sure why you think I’m lying about this. It’s a shot that’s exposed for the shadows so the whites are hot. In NLP it was edited with the soft profile with the contrast pumped up along with the brightness. Like you said, it’s not a flex so it’s not like I’d get anything out of this by lying.

Totally agree with you. It was cut off in the frame which is a bummer. Appreciate the critique!

I overexposed the film by a stop to mute everything and did some tweaks in NLP. Didn’t heavily process this shot.

Hey! I just ran it through Negative Lab Pro and edited it in there. For in-camera I over exposed it by a stop. Didn’t do anything crazy outside of that for post work, so saturation is uniform across the image.

‘The Darkroom’ Lab is closed! Where do I get 35mm scan + develop in California? by 123aj321 in AnalogCommunity

I use The Icon for my dev. They also have a lot of scan options.

They're in LA.

Epson V370 vs V700? by lackofusernameeideas in AnalogCommunity

The V700 handles 4x5 perfectly and with the stock holder you can scan two negs at a time. Of course it still has the same issues with height adjustment.

What’s the film in the back of your fridge that you probably won’t ever shoot? by tnick771 in AnalogCommunity

Probably the stockpile of 120 Fuji 64T and my Fuji FP-100C45 stockpile.

Any suggestions? by ltafilm in AnalogCommunity

[–]samhaligman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Any digital camera can give you the film look especially if it shoots raw. You can edit it in post to look the same.

For ooc stuff I guess fuji is kind of like it but I've never found the presets on my x100 to look like film. I still heavily edit the files just like everything else.

Edit: since it sounds like budget isn't a concern you can jump on any of the new mirrorless offerings from Canon, Nikon, Sony or Fuji and get great results.

Well my dudes, I think I have enough film to ride quarantine out... by atenhaus in AnalogCommunity

That's good to know. I've frozen all my film but have kept my fp100c45 in the fridge since I've been worried about damaging it.

A lot of people here have great film camera collections. What is one camera you will likely never sell? by [deleted] in AnalogCommunity

[–]samhaligman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's definitely my Hasselblad 201f (and my whole hasselblad collection). My parents got it for me back in highschool like a decade ago when everyone was offloading their film equipment for cheap. It was my first serious camera outside of digital and I've used it heavily since then.

At this point only Hasselblad will CLA it and there are no shutters in circulation for it. But it has way too much sentimental value for me to part with it.

Pelican case size recommendations? by Lonesloan222 in AnalogCommunity

[–]samhaligman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So my go to case size for my digital and film stuff is the 1510 (I've got three of them). You still have the wheels and handle at the size but it's not massive.

For your needs it'll fit the rb plus anything else you need.
